Clutch Box and Card Set

Hi, guys!

Well, I'm back again to post a project I've just completed.

While blog-hopping a while ago, I came across the cutest cricut clutch.  Of course, when I thought about it again I couldn't for the life of me remember where it was.  However, I was so impressed by it that it stuck in my mind, so I finally decided I would try my hand at creating my own, and it was easy!  I added the birthday card and I'm calling it "Give the Card, But Give The Gift In Style".  I think you'll like it!!!

Yes, of course I've added it to my list of cut.files!

BEWARE!

Good Saturday morning, friends!!!  I hope you're all headed for a fantastic weekend!

I'd like to share some important news with you.  Through what may have been an unintentional act, Cindy McVey's files were jeopardized.  The person responsibile has apologized, and all Cindy's files and folders have been restored.  However, Cindy has posted on her blog how we can protect ourselves against "unsavory" people victimizing our efforts and the hard work we do.  Please take a moment to go to Cindy's blog, "Crazy for Crafting", and read what she has to say.  "Crazy for Crafting" can be found on my blog list on the sidebar.  I know we all thank Cindy for her generousity in sharing this information with us.

Thank you.

I'll be seeing you

IS IT A BOX? IS IT A GIFT? IS IT A CARD? YES!!!

Good afternoon, all!  I hope you're all doing well.  I'm doing great -- tickled pink (yeah, right!!!  LOL!) to be alive!!!

Wow!  I've just spent over an hour emailing the cut.files for the hat box.  It did get a bit confusing as there were so many requests, so if I missed anyone, please let me know.  I would never miss you intentionally.  Ughhh!!!  Doesn't it always seem like I go on and on before I share with you...?  I know, I know...

Okay, the story with this "thing" is that my hubby (who's doing much better) has a birthday the end of February and I wanted to do something that wasn't just the "typical" handmade birthday card.  I call it a "thing" because it's a gift, a gift box, and a card -- at least the way I've figured it -- and I just don't know any one name to give it.  Anyway, you get to peek and comment before the hubby gets it (I hope he doesn't decide now of all times to visit).  Let me know what you think of this "thing" -- heee-heee.

The box on top has a hidden trap door in the back and, yes, there's a little gift tucked inside -- shhhhhh!.  The bottom box is the card and the whole "thing" is the gift.  Make sense?  I made the bottom box from transparencies and tried to make it appear the words, the balloons, and the present inside are just suspended from air.  I wanted different and I guess this is it.  I sure hope he likes it!

I'll be seeing you!

Valentine Box with BLING-BLING-BLING!!!

Here I am again!  I'd like to say hello to my new followers and welcome!  I just LOVE company!

Good news!  I have the cut.file ready for you of the cross box.  It's a little larger than the one I posted; however, I am also recreating the smaller version and will have it available soon too. As a note, this box requires a really heavy weight paper!  Regular cardstock makes too flimsy a box.  I also reinforce the inside with side panels for additional support and to cover the inside tabs.

Now I have a valentine box to share from the Love Struck cart.  This box is 2 pieces (a lid and bottom) and is a fairly good size, measuring I guess about 9"x7".  You could pack a lot of candy in here!  Or, a gift.

I added transparency to the cut-out part so the recipient could have a peek at what's inside and, I think, the lace makes it look so feminine; and, of course, the BLING -- rhinestones.  Wonder who I'm giving this
to...  The cut.file is available if you'd like it.

CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!! "CHIRPED" AGAIN!!!

Good day, family and friends!  I hope all's well with you!

Well, I am unbelieveably excited!  Can you believe I was featured in the Chirp again!  Without your encouragement and support this would never happen!  I can't say thanks enough to all of you, you inspire and motivate me.  You keep me on my toes!  I love you all and God Bless!

I'll be seeing you!

A Cross Box (?)

Hi, guys!  The doctor gave my hubby a good progress report today -- all the tests were negative.  We don't know what's causing the pain yet, but it doesn't appear to be anything major -- YIPPEE!!!  The doc does want him to make an appointment though for a blood work-up and follow up in a few days, just as a precaution and to check that the pain is continuously subsiding.

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!

I've been working for several months on this darn cross box I'm sharing today but I just can't seem to get it right; either the top is right and the bottom isn't, or vice-versa.  I took a picture of this one from the front so that the imperfections wouldn't show.  When I went back to working on trying to tweak it, I lost the whole blasted file!!!  Not fun!  The message was that it corrupted or something -- SAVE, SAVE, SAVE!!!.  Anyway, I did another one which is a bit larger and I am adding it to my list of cut.files, however, I haven't cut it yet.  I'm going to try to have it done by tomorrow or Wednesday by the lastest, if it isn't okay.

Anyway, here is the picture of the lost/corruputed attempt ( I stuck my praying hands on it just for fun!  If you zoom on the pic, you can even see the wet glue LOL!)...

Getting it ready for you as soon as I can!  Until then...  I'll be seeing you!

ARE YOU KIDDING? EASTER!

Happy Saturday, friends!  I hope you are all getting ready for a wonderful weekend!

Hubby update:  He's feeling better -- yeah!!!  He always says I take really good care of him, so he's getting even more pampered and spoiled ( if that's possible!!! - LOL!)  He still has some discomfort, but the meds seem to, at last, be working.  Now all we have to do is get through today and tomorrow.  Thanks for your concerns, and please keep the prayers and well-wishes coming.  I am an optimist, so I just know all will be well!!! We WILL get a good progress report on Monday; besides I'm toooo "Blessed to be stressed..."

Alrighty then..., I have an Easter card to share with you.  Okay, so it seems pretty early; however, I've got Valentine and Mother's Day cards to make for my family, so I may as well get started on Easter too.  Now you know why I'm doing Easter cards, but what you don't know is that if you really, really, really like the praying hands on my card, I have a cut.file I can't wait to share with you -- if you want it!!!  First, take a peek at my card...

I did the praying hands using the George cart and the cross is from the Wedding cart.  The "Happy Easter" lettering is Plantin.

On the cut.file, there is a cross from Wedding and Indie Art (your choice);  the bible is from Wedding, and the words "Holy Bible" is from Blackletter.

Note:  When you cut you will need to make 2 cuts of the hands and cuffs.

Here's the inside of the card:

Well, that's it for now; but...,  I'll be seeing you!

Blog Candy Winner Update

Toni Baczek of "Happy Scrapper" blog site, and the winner of my recent blog candy giveaway, informed me she received her package yesterday and she's already used it to make this really pretty card.  Thanks for sharing, Toni!!!  Great job!

I've Got A Surprise For You!!!

Hi, guys!  Thank you so much for your concern for the hubby.  For a progress report, the doctor had him take a battery of tests today and until the results come back on Monday, they gave him some meds which hopefully will make him more comfortable until we find out what the problem is.  I told him of your warm comments and he was impressed -- he says to tell you "thank you".

Now...,  have I got a SURPRISE for you (since you're some of the most wonderful people in the world)!!!  While I was waiting on hubby today, I worked on the cut.file for the "Stationary Note Card  Box Set", so if you'd like it, let me know.  I do not keep emails, so include your email so that I can attach it to an email for you.  I hadn't expected to have it done so quickly but as I took my Gypsy with me to the doctor's office, I had some extra time to spare.

Several things, as an aside, I haven't cut it myself yet but it should be okay, and I used the George cart because I think most of you have that one.   Now all you have to do is make your own cards and tags, and embellish as you wish -- I hope you let me see what you've done with this!!!

I'll be seeing you!

So, You Ask, "What Kept Me Away Today?"

Hi, guys!  I'm sorry I wasn't around to drop in and say hello earlier today.  My intent was to share another project but I probably won't get to it until late tomorrow.   I spent the entire day (over 11 hours) in the emergency room with my hubby.  They tried to admit him, but he refused to stay, so I'll be taking him to see his doctor tomorrow; who'll probably admit him anyway!  They couldn't really diagnose what the problem was, so hopefully tomorrow his doctor will prescribe additional tests.

Anyway, I'm going to try to get back in enough time post something or you.  For those of you who requested cut.files, I didn't forget you -- between tonight and tomorrow, I'll get them emailed to you; and I apologize for the delay!

I hope you had a great day!!!  I'll be seeing you!

Keys To My Heart Gable Box with Matching Card

Good evening family and friends!!!  Well, here I am again!  Of course I've got another little something to share...!

This is a gable box with a card; I call it "Keys To My Heart".  Wouldn't this be too cute filled with chocolates for a Valentine Day gift for some "sweetie pie"!   Ahhhh... no blushing!!!

I hope you like it!

The box was cut with George and the heart center is from the Plantin cart.  The card is from Wild Card, and the key and heart were cut and embossed with a Spellbinders die.  If you like the gable box, I have a cut.file, so just let me know.  I apologize for having to email files to you right now, but I haven't figured out any easier way.  If you have any suggestions, please toss them my way.

Thanks for stoppin in!

I'll be seeing you!

Stationary Note Card Box Set

Hello, friends!  Are you all still here with me; I hope so...  PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME!!!

I have something to share with you, although you've probably seen these -- they're everywhere!!!  I really need to write things down because I'm not exactly sure where I got the instructions for this one -- but I believe I got it somewhere off YouTube!  I also think I've seen some cut.files, but now I can't find them.  Anyway, I'm working on a cut.file, so I won't have to track one down...  I'll have it !  Which means if you want it you'll have it too...  because I'll send you mine, hee-hee!  I do love to share!  I'll let you know when I have it ready, or just check the cut.file list Ive added on the side bar  of my blog; I plan to eventually fill it up!

Mom's "Steppin' Out" Mothers Day Hat and Purse Box Set

Well, hello again!  Did everyone notice my reference to the Haiti Disaster?  It's at the top of the page -- thoughts and prayers definitely radiate too!

Wow!  I'm so excited about all my new following friends!  Hello and welcome!  Make sure you don't be strangers; visit often -- I love company!

Now that we've got the blog candy box all opened up, I thought I'd post a little something I hope will inspire your Mothers Day preparations.  It's a hat and bag/purse box set.  I think I'm going to put an embroidered scarf or hankie in the purse; candy is definitely going in the box.  Of course, you can put what you'd like in it!

Here it is:

Here is the hat box open:

I did the purse box by hand, but used my cricut for the heart and whatever that "other thing is" cut-outs (LOL).  I have a cut.file just about ready for the hat box (gotta "tweak" it a little more. I used the George cartride for the set.

Ummm, did I overlook any request(s) for my cookie/candy box?  Used George on that one too (since I neglected to mention it)
Anyway, tell me what you think of my Mom's "Steppin Out Set"!

I'll be seeing you!

MY POOR BABY!!!

Hi, guys!  I've been having so much fun furiously building my blog, getting re-acquainted on the message board, and working on new crafts that I just noticed how neglected my little Buster must feel since he's accustomed to the majority of my attention (which he's hasn't been getting over the last week).   Just look at him...  he's in his "bedroom" pouting!!!

Guess, I'll go spend a little quality time with him -- but I haven't forgotten you.., I'll be back!!!

COOKIE OR CANDY BOX

Hey everyone, I'm back again with another post to share with you!

About a year ago, someone sent me a cut.file for a really cute cookie box (I used mine for candy); unfortunately, I either lost or accidently deleted it.  Whatever!   I haven't been able to find it.   Brother was I disappointed!  But only temporarily because I decided  I was going to at least attempt to make a cut.file of my own.  Now, mine isn't exactly the same as the one sent to me, but I like it!!!  Here it is...

If the author of the cookie box is out there anywhere -- HELLO!! -- that sent me the original cookie box cut.file, please let me know so that I can give you your kudos for inspiring me to do this on my own.

I hope you like it!!!

I'll be seeing you!

POST PROBLEM RESOLVED!!!  Yeaaaaa!

Hello, again, friends!

Phew!  I was really beginning to worry!  It seems all I had to do was go back and reset my settings to resolve that previous annoying problem.  Anyhow, now that I've got that problem out of the way, and have calmed down over my "chirp" excitement, I have a little something to share.  I've been working on my valentine cards and this is the first one -- not sure if I like it all that much -- tell me what you think.

I''m Featured in the Cricut Chirp This Month -- Funny Story!

Oh my God!!! Hi, guys.

Do I have a funny story to share or what?!!! Earlier I was just looking through some messages on the Cricut message board, and several members were congratulating me on being featured in the "chirp". Well, I had absolutely no idea what they were talking about!!! IT WAS DRIVING ME CRAZY!!! When someone finally responded to my question as to what a "chirp" was, didn't I feel like a heel. I read that newsletter ALL the time and never realized it was called the Cricut Chirp -- the emails just read "Cricut Newsletter". Now isn't that just too hysterical? I just had to share this story!!! Needless to say, I am extremely excited!!! Like I said on the message board, "it's because of people like you -- warmth radiates!"

So..., did you get a chance to see the HSN craft shows? Did you get lot of goodies?

BLOG CANDY DETAILS

Good afternoon, all!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

Well, I think I've kept you waiting long enough in providing, at least, some information about my blog candy giveaway; and I must say you've been very patient!  So, at this time, I'm going to give you the details on winning.  It's really simple, to be a nominee: 1) you must be and/or become a member, 2) you must leave or have left me at least one (1) comment, and 3) winner must provide me snail mail address so that I can mail them the package.  That's it!!!  Because I hope to have reached 25+ followers, I will not be revealing the contents of the blog candy until Saturday afternoon, January 16.  Regardless the number of followers I have by then  (if less than anticipated), I will select a winner and announce that person on Monday, January 17 before 5 p.m.  The winner will be selected by a random drawing.  So all you friends who haven't already become a follower, hurry up!  I'm sure you'll want your name to go "into the hat"!  With that said, make sure to come back on Saturday to see what's inside the package!  I hope you'll be pleased!

To those of you already following me, thank you so very much for following me, supporting and encouraging me, and helping me to celebrate my new blog -- you are all amazing people!!!  Good luck in the giveaway!

P.S.  I really do apologize for being a little stinker and making you wait, but it was sooooo much fun!

I'll be seeing you!

Cricuit Church Window Box Card

Well, here I am again and this time I am featuring a card I made which was inspired by MagicWanda of "My Happy Place".  MagicWanda is a wonderful lady and was kind enough a while ago to send me a cut.file of her beautiful card.  Here is my replica of her card creation -- I hope I did it justice!

Thanks, Wanda!

Personalized Wooden Trinket Box

Hi, guys, I've missed you -- so..., well, I'm back with another post!  (Hope you missed me too!)

This is a wooden  box to hold small trinkets that I made for my friend Gina.  Gina was one of my favorite co-workers and we had such great times doing lunches together;  I really wanted her to know I missed her.

This box is a bit messy, but so much fun to do.  Once I figure out exactly how (and I'm working on it),  I would like to post a video for you all  -- it's really neat how the image just soaks into the wood!

In the meantime, if you are interested in how this is done, please post me a comment with your contact information and I will send the instructions as best I can.

Hi, Everyone. Thanks For Coming Back To Visit!

I Did Make A Promise, Didn't I?

I hope you all had a restful night and feel great! So, do you remember what I said in my post earlier this morningt? Of course you didn't forget, right? I promised I'd post a few cards today and I'll try to keep my promises (key word "try").

Okay, here we go...

Elegantly Plain and Simple

I call this card "Elegantly Plain and Simple" because I think that says it all; a perfect description.

"In God's Hands" Card w/Matching Envie

I loved naming this card w/ matching envie "In God's Hands".

I think the name for this card is obvious and, I hope, appro- priate.

You may not be able to see it here, but there's lots of detail and character on this card.  Click on the picture for a larger view.

"Needfull Things" Baby Stroller Gift

I think this is going to be my last post for now, it's now after 12 a.m  But before I go, here's another one of those great gifts I've made at least a zillion of.  I call it "Needfull Things" because it's stuffed with a lot of things new mothers can always use when they bring their little "sweet ones" home; things like a thermometer, med dispenser, a syringe (things gift buyers often don't think of); a small pack of pampers, a bib, soap, powder and lotion, a lullaby CD and a teddy holding the "Welcome Baby" card!

The picture doesn't really do it much justice; it's way tooooo adorable!

Come back later, I think I'll post some of the cards I've done.  See ya!

Money Floral Gift

HUBBY'S FINALLY GETTING DINNER!!!

Can you believe this blog has me so consumed I'm just getting my dear hubby his dinner.  I JUST HAVE TO DO BETTER THAN THIS!!!  DIVORCE IS NOT AN OPTION!!!  We've been together 40 years!

But I have another little "something-something" nice for you to see!  This is a floral arrangement made with money!  I've did several of these for weddings, birthdays, etc. and they are always a fabulous gift.

Can you tell the leaves from the money?

I got the idea for this when I saw someone make a single rose with a leaf from a dollar bill, so I decided "why not do an entire arrangement".  Thus, this was born!!!

Personal Photo Votive Candle

SURPRISE, SHAR AND LES!!!

Since I've just invited my friend Shar to my blog she's going to really be surprised considering she didn't know I even had this for her.

Shar, although you may think so, it's no biggie!  I made it in a few shakes!  Easy-peezie!

Handmade Toiletry Gift Set w/Card

I HAVEN'T GIVEN UP YET!!!

You wouldn't believe how hard I'm working on getting this blog together!  I've neglected my hubby (no "honey-do's" right now), my Buster (poor baby), family and friends, EVERYONE AND EVERYTHING!!!  And, because I'm doing this for you, I'm sure you'll appreciate my efforts, right?

Anyway, here's another handmade toiletry set I made over the holiday that was a customer request.  Isn't it pretty?  This one generated several more orders for me -- how exciting was that?!!!  I am sorry though that you can't make out the glass clearly because I etched the recipient's name on it.

Embroidered Petwear

WELL, I'M STILL UP!!!
It's 12:00 midnight and I'm still up tickering around with this blog-- eventually I'm going to figure it all out!  Being that I'm here though I felt I might as well add another picture, so if you don't know Buster then now is the time to meet him.  Buster is my "almost" 2-year old shitzu and he's modeling a coat I made for him during the O'Bama inauguration (as you can see by the picture).  I've embroidered Buster's name on the coat and added a pocket for his little treats -- isn't he just too cute?

Buster will be back soon showing off some of his other designer fashions that mommy has made for him!

Petals and Pearls Handmade Body Splash

Well, I hope you've enjoyed what I've done so far!!!

I'm still working on getting a better look for my blog, but I'm still learning how to get around here.  In the meantime, I'm posting a body splash I made for my cousin Marilyn.  I call it "Petals and Pearls" because I suspended gold leafs in the splash and decorated the bottle with pearls.  Her name on the bottom of the box was a really nice touch -- don't you think?  I cut the name out on my Cricut Expression (God, I love this machine).

Personally, I think this looks awesome!
