WELCOME!

WELCOME!

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to have you visit with me and I hope you enjoy your stay. I absolutely love company, sharing, and making new friends so I hope you find something here that inspires, motivates, or just pleases you in some way.

Of course, I love to visit and be inspired also. So if I don't already drop in on you, please let me know where I can find you and I'll hop on over to see what you're doing or to just say "hi".

Before you go, I would love it if you'd please leave me a comment letting me know you dropped in! Actually, I'd just love to hear from you -- comments, opinions, or questions you'd like me to answer.

In the meantime, relax and make yourselves at home... you're family here!!!

I'll be seeing you!

IT'S A FAMILY AFFAIR!!!

Hello, everyone!  No, I haven't disappeard again; I'm still here.  I know you haven't seen or heard from me this weekend but that's because I was very busy helping my cousin prepare a family reunion (of sorts) for one of her 5 sons.  And we're pretty much still celebrating!

My nephew, Greg, and his family came home for a brief vist from Japan where's he's been stationed for over a year.   Greg was previously stationed in Hawaii for several years prior to that, and had spent some time on his ship, so all the family got together to celebrate his brief visit home.  This was the first time he'd been together with his other 4 brothers in several years (one of whom came here from California to join the celebration).  The entire family is so proud of Greg as, at age 37, he's a Command Master Chief in the Navy, and is assigned as the Command Master Chief  to the USS Tortuga LSD 46 naval ship which participated in the Tsunami disaster relief in 2011.

If you're interested, here is a link to my nephew's bio web page where you can read some of his accomplishments:  http://www.public.navy.mil/surfor/lsd46/Pages/bio3.aspx

In the meantime, I'm sharing some pictures I took at his mom's this weekend.  Sorry my picture-taking skills aren't the greatest, some of them are blurred, and please accuse how I look.  I really worked hard in preparation -- it was very hot and humid, and I'm pretty sweaty and just tired.

Here I am with Greg and his sweet family:

This is Greg with the newest member of our family, his nephew (his brother's son); it was his first time seeing CJ in person:

This is Greg's wife with CJ:

This is me with my nephew(Greg's brother) Lawrence, and his wife, who came in from California:

And me with the happy and proud mom:

LOL!  Five guys and no daughters!!!  But..., all 5 are great and successful young men!!!

Well, I'll be back tomorrow with a little card project I'll be finishing up some time tonight, and I'll be back on my rounds seeing what you've all been up to!!!

Hugs!

I guess if you have 5 guys and one great mom they all will be great men even without all those women to keep them in line. LOL
Love the pictures.
Thank you for the sweet comment about my wine bags. I really appreciate your visits and comments.
Have a wonderful week.

So greet that you were able to see and visit with your family. Those are always treasured moments. It is extra special when family members from far away get a chance to visit.

What a great family picture. I just want to pinch CJ's cheeks, lol. What an accomplished young man your nephew is. I have to notice that we are about the same height, I am always the shortest one in the group pics, lol. Hope all is well my friend. Hugs, Mary

Its always nice to see photos on a blog, lends a "person (al) touch to posts" Thanks for allowing us this glimpse into your obviously close and loving family.
