A LITTLE TABLE-TOP WEDDING MINI ALBUM

Hi!  I finally made it back!!!  Thank you so much for being patient in waiting for me; I've been trying to post this project since yesterday but was detained by the hubby all day yesterday, and immediately after posting the RAK winners earlier this evening we received unexpected company ( a nice surprise and most pleasant visit).

Okay, at last I get to share the little wedding project I've been promising.  It's a little coin envelope table-top mini wedding photo book.  This is the top of the book and the letter "Z" is the last initial of the couple receiving it:

The book is kept closed by a tab with a magnet attached and each of the envelopes hold a tag which is removed by pulling it out using the rhinestones at the top of the tags.  The embellishment on the first page is a bird made of polymer clay that I molded, painted and glittered:

Here's a picture with all the tags on the envelope-pages pulled out:

There are also tags tucked into the top of the album that can be pulled out for pictures:

And, there are pockets with more tags that pull out for photos and/or to hold sweet little love notes...lol:

Although I haven't shown each individual page, there is embossing, pearl and crystal swirls, and wedding bell Peel-Offs on the pages; you may need to click on the photos just to get a better view of what I do have pictured.

This was such a fun project, and I really wish you could see this up close and personal because it really looks better in person than the pictures give it justice.   I haven't gotten to it yet but I'm going to make a matching box with a wedding wish on the top and give this is lieu of a card to the happy couple.  I hope they like it!  I hope you like it too!!!

Would you believe I'm working on another wedding project!  Don't know how soon it'll be before it's completed but you will be one of the first to see it... lol!!!

The other evening I had the opportunity to visit with many of you, and so enjoyed your projects or just saying "hi".  Unfortunately, I've still got a lot more rounds to make, so I'll be seeing more of you as soon as I can.

In the meantime, as I'll be spending time this weekend doing some last minute Mother's Day shopping and celebrating with auntie and family, I wish you all a very happy and blessed Mother's Day!

Hugs!

SHARING A GIFT WITH YOU TODAY!

Happy Monday, everyone!  I hope you all had as wonderful a weekend as I did!!

Well, I turned on my Expression E2 today and all the lights came on, and it FROZE -- right at the Cricut screen -- wouldn't load any of the applications!!!  How disappointing is that?!!!  However, I have to say I was impressed that when I called Cricut I didn't have a wait-time, and after the representative attempted to re-calibrate it unsuccessfully, she told me to pack it up, use the prepaid postage she emailed me to return it, and I'd get a replacement.  That was the fastest and most satisfactory service I think I've ever had when having to call for service!!!  Maybe they're getting better?  Anyway, thank God it was still under warranty, and that I have other Cricuts I can use because she said it would be about 4 weeks before I'd get the new replacement!

Anyway, I have two (2) posts today, this one  and another where I'm giving away some blog candy!  I love doing my little giveaways -- such fun!!!  Now, make sure to see my other post to join in to win!  I haven't given away "candy" in a while and I thought it was time for some fun!!!

I do not have a project that I completed for today (working on mine), but I do have something I'd like to share with you.  I have a very new following family-friend, and she mailed me a handmade book of poems.  I was so honored that someone who has only found me such a short time ago would do something so very, very kind!  Makes me feel I'm doing "something" right... lol!!!  And I'm just so thrilled with this book that I thought how nice to present this as my "share" today.  Here's what Diana made for me, and I've included several of the pages; the last page is special because she included a frame to place a picture of my aunt, and there's a poem to accompany it:

Didn't she do a fantastic job?  Thank you, Diana, I love it!!!  And thank you for being my friend too!  I love my blogland family and awfully happy to have you in my circle!!!

Well, don't forget to drop over to my other post for today to see what little goodie I have for you!   I'll be around a little later to see what you've been up to!

Love you, God bless, and I'll be seeing you!!!

A A PRETTY ALTERED EYEGLASS CASE FOR MOTHER'S DAY

Hi, everyone!!!  I'm so glad to be back at Sheila's again this month presenting another little project for you there!

Today's project/tutorial is a quick and easy altered eyeglass case that I've been wanting to do for some time now:

My BFF loves fancy sunglasses, so I'm getting her a nice pair for Mother's Day, and I thought this would be a wonderful way of presenting them to her.

I found the eyeglass case at a General Dollar Store for $1.99 and grabbed several pairs.  Here's what they started out looking like:

I know my girlfriend loves gold, so I began by painting the case a metallic gold.  I used three (3) coats of paint, allowing each coat to dry about 30 minutes between coats:

I found some pretty gold and cream trim, so I glued it to the bottom lip of the case:

Next I decided on how I wanted to embellish the case, then gathered all the necessary materials together:

Wired Beads (Cream)
Gold Buttons
Gold Beads
Gold Wired Ribbon Double Bow
Cream Roses
Rhinestone "Bling" Embellishments (Bronze and Gold)
Skeleton Leaves (Cream)
Gold and Deep Bronze Stickles

I arranged all the embellishments to my liking, and finished the case by gluing/attaching them all to the case and used a bit of the Stickles on the flowers to highlight them -- all done!  Here's another view of the back and top:

I love this, and hope you like it too!  I think I'll be giving quite a few sunglasses or reading glasses away for Mother's Day... lol!!!

Well, as always, thanks so much for coming by, and I'll be seeing you next month!!!

SOMETHING YOU SHOULD KNOW!

Good day, everyone!  Hope all's all and bright your way!!!

I wanted to drop in to let you know a couple of things.  First..., what I feared most when I removed the word verification box from my blog posts has happened.  I am receiving numerous spam mails, and my blog and email has been compromised.  Emails are going out under my name/email address that I am not sending.  If you receive any emails that are "uncomprising" and/or inappropriate, please know that I would not ever send you anything of that sort.

Second, I have noticed that when an attempt to download a file from my cut.files drop-down box, it is requesting a password.  I do not know why this is happening, and I've contacted 4Shared for an immediately remedy and/or response.  I will let you know when this matter is resolved so that you can continue to download the files I've made for you.

Again, I am looking into both these matters. If you would like any of my available cut.files, please email me at audreyfrel@sbcglobal.net and I'll email  files until this issue has been resolved.

I'm off now to complete a project I've been working on, so I'll be seeing you!

P.S.  Don't forget to stay tuned, as I mentioned on my previous post, I have a nice little surprise coming
up for you very soon now!
