ENCOURAGEMENT OR SYMPATHY

Hello, family!  Can you believe this week is almost over?!!!

I have a card to share today.  Having had to be so busy the last few months I guess I'm feeling behind and ackward with my crafting because I just haven't been completely satisfied with the last few projects.  I do like this card but it really was a challenge for me because I'd never made a card with the stand-up bottom or one where the die cut was cut into the actual base of the card; it took me about 5 tries to get the die cut aligned correctly on the fold of the base and I don't think I made the stand quite wide enough... BUT IT SURE WAS FUN playing and doing it!!!  Lol!!!

I've always said I'm not much of a cardmaker so I'm going to take you around the block with views on this card and other than it probably needing more color, I'm open to any suggestions on improvements you may see for when I attempt this one again (which I will).  This is the front of the card:

The color alternating hearts were actually a mistake; I'd accidently tore off one of the hearts, so I just cut off every other one and used the cut offs on the ribbon and on the back of rhe card.

Here's a close-up:

Okay, now the back of the card:

And here's a side view:

Okay guys, be honest!  Let me know what you think -- or don't!!!  Lol!

Love you, hugs and...

I'll be seeing you!

I'VE GOT A CARD TO SHARE!

Good afternoon, everyone!!!  It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood!!!

My friends, Bobby and Jill (the Cricut Couple), sent me the prettiest laces some time ago and I was dying to use some of them so between breaks trying to figure out the cut file I've been working on, I made this card using the pink and lite green laces:

I didn't add a sentiment yet because I have no idea what occassion I'll be using this card for, but it's always nice just to have one on-hand.  This was a fun card to do and, surprisingly for me, it came together really quick.  When the time comes to use it, I'll stamp it, make a matching envelope and it'll be ready to go!!!  Even for me I think it turned out pretty.

I didn't want to take away from the outside of the card and I'm not an experienced cardmaker to know what's too much or not, so I kept it simple and just used a paper to pick up the green on the outside of the card:

I just get so excited whenever I make a card that I actually like!!!  I hope you do too!  And, Bobby, I hope you approve that I put this lace to good use!  LOL!

Oh well, I'm off again!  I'll be back later for a bit of visiting!

Oh, if you haven't already, remember to get your comments in on my previous post for the diamond mesh RAK!!!

Hugs, and...

I'll be seeing you!

A BOOK CARD!

Happy Sunday, everyone!!!  Hope you've had a wonderful weekend so far!!!

Wow, how wonderful that I've got several new followers!!!  Thank you so much for coming by; my family is a wonderful group and you should be quite comfortable with us!  We all welcome you and hope you enjoy yourselves.  In the meantime, I can't wait to visit with you too!

As you can probably tell, I'm feeling better today and can't wait to get started.  I've already began dropping by on some of you, and slowly I'll be getting to all of you.  I really wanted to get an earlier start this weekend but I've been having company dropping in and out to check on me, so that's taken time away from me.

Okay, on with the program... lol!  As most of you know, I don't claim to be a card maker; however, I've been wanting to do one of these book cards I've seen for quite some time now.  Being that the hubby acts like everything I try to do shouldn't be something I'm trying to do right now -- geez! -- he has "allowed" me to complete this stress-free card... lol!  It was a fun card to do although I know I could have been up for a bigger challenge than this...  lol!!!  Anyway, it's simple and not anything over-the-top, but I definitely enjoyed just doing it.  Here it is:

Didn't like the inside blank, so I gave that a bit of a facelift:

Well, I'm anxious to get back to some visiting, and more crafting!!!  I know I'm going to have to fight the hubby because he freaks out if I just look sideways at my craft stuff right now...lol!!!  If you read a newspaper or hear on the news about a woman doing injury to her husband because he wouldn't let her craft, pray it wasn't me... lol!!!

Be back soon!  Love you all, hugs...

I'll be seeing you!

"JUST BECAUSE..." A CARD TO SHARE!

Hello, everyone!  I hope all's well!  To all new followers, hello my new family-friends and welcome!

So.., I wonder what's going on with Blogger now -- what new updates or issues are causing these recent interruptions.  I haven't had my reading list since yesterday evening, and I wasn't able to post earlier; Blogger kept timing me out.  I seldom get frustrated but it just wasn't fun!!!  It was annoying!  Bloggers tells me to check my browser but I know that's not the problem because I clear my browser every several days automatically.  Is anyone else having these issues?

Anyway, I haven't had much time with you lately, and I did want to visit more but it's difficult with having to deal with the constant issues, my missing reading list, and to top it off -- it's SLOW!!!  I'm not one for complaining but geez!  However, on the cheery side, I am happy to have a card to share with you (hopefully Blogger cooperates...lol!).  I know I keep telling you I'm not a cardmaker and I'm convinced of that but I'm working on it.  Although I did make a mistake on this one, I think I'm getting better; I like my attempt at this one eventhough it's still "rough around the edges"...(literally!  I have to get new paper trimmers; they're all well-used and over used...lol):

Oh well, I have an appointment and an errand to get ready for this afternoon, so I'll try to check in with you later.

Have a great day!!!  Thanks for dropping by, hugs, and...

I'll be seeing you!

A CARD TO SHARE AND AN UPDATE (OF SORT)!!!

Happy Sunday, family!!!  I hope all's well and that everyone is enjoying themselves crafting and/or getting ready for Halloween festivities!!!  Buster and I are just about ready!!!

So as not to forget, if you haven't noticed it on the top of my sidebar, I'm participating in the blog hop/challenge to help celebrate Rhonda's and Amy's birthdays.  All the information will be available soon and I hope you'll all plan on joining us for all the fun -- I'm sure there'll be candy and there's a grand prize to be given to some lucky person!!!  And, oh, I have a "sweet" little project I think will surely please!

Right now, I have a card to share with you.  This card can be used as a sympathy, baptism, or christening card; maybe more but those are the only ones that come to mind... lol!!!  Anyway, I left it blank because -- obviously -- I don't know it's purpose and/or the occassion I'll use it for; therefore I'll add wording when a situation arises.  It's difficult to see but I added silver stickles to the cross chain on the praying hands to match the cross on the ribbon:

This is a picture of the card open:

The middle circle on this card can be removed to write a message on the back or, depending on the occassion, you can even slide a picture in between the top and bottom circles (for instance, an occassion such as a baptism):

Well, I hope you like it!!!

I'd like to thank each and every one of you who sent such kind and warm words regarding my fall.  I appreciate every word but I do believe there's nothing at all to worry about -- again, I have no pain and nothing hurts.  I know I have other family who do not live close who have expressed concern too, so just to show you that most of the swelling has gone down, I've taken a picture... lol!!!  Now be forewarned I'm not looking my best, okay?  The hubby took this picture just a bit ago and I'm at home, so I'm not primped up and I haven't curled my hair so I have a "flat" top... lol (hubby says I'm still beautiful -- isn't he a sweetie?)!!!    The only swelling is very slight; the tip of my nose, my upper lip, and my jaw is just still a wee bit swoll:

So now you see?  It's not so bad at all!  By the time I go back to the dentist for the x-rays, all the swelling should be down!  I hope this makes everyone feel a bit better!

Well, I'm off again!  Still gots lots to do in a very short time, so...

Hugs, love you all, and I'll be seeing you!

A CARD TO SHARE

Happy Tuesday, all!!!  I hope you're having a great day!

I'd like to say hello to several new followers too!  Welcome, and I'm so very glad to see you!
I've been running through the neighborhood visiting with some of you and, I have to tell you, it hasn't been easy!!!  What in the world is going on with Google Blogger?!!!  It's definitely been acting more weird than usual this afternoon, and early this morning!  Even last night I tried to visit and my Reading List was gone again -- I waited for a while and just decided to go to bed with the hope it'd be here today; thank God it was!!!  Hope you aren't going through these same annoyances!  I guess with improvements comes these little "quirks" which could drive you almost nuts!!!  LOL!

Anyway, I have a card to share right now.  This card was not only a delight to receive from my friends, the Cricut Couple, for my birthday but an inspiration.  So much of an inspiration, I wanted to make a pretty card with a cage too.  Of course, mine isn't nearly as beautiful as what they made me, but I love it just the same.  I haven't added any words or sentiments to this card because I just wanted to do it and didn't have a clue where it was going, or to whom:

Here a closer shot but you can always double-click on it too:

And here's the inside of the card:

Well, I'm almost done with another project -- one I think you'll all really like, so I'll be back!  I will get around to doing some more visiting too; however, between Blogger being slow and acting crazy, and some household necessities, it may take a while so please be patient with me.

Hope you like my card!!!  And if you haven't visited with the Cricut Couple before, their blog is a "must see".  Click on the link above and drop in; they're always prepared for company!!!

Love you all, hugs, and...

I'll be seeing you!

A BLOG CANDY RAK AND A BIRTHDAY PROJECT FOR A FRIEND!

Happy Monday!  I hope you all had a beauttiful weekened!!!  I most certainly did, and I thank you all for the wonderful birthday wishes!

I have a little RAK giveaway today to say "Thank You" to all my wonderful  412 followers!!!  To those of you who are new to my family of friends, Welcome!!!  I love having you here and I look forward to getting better acquainted!  In honor of reaching/exceeding 400 followers, here's my giveaway -- a little Tim Holtz package:

As this RAK is a result of my celebrating my followers, and to show my appreciation of your choosing to follow and support me, only followers are eligible this time around for this RAK -- sorry!  However, all additional new followers are welcome to participate as long as you're a member by the RAK deadline.  (I will have more giveaways which will include all my non-member friends again soon!).  The only rule to be eligible for this gift is to just leave me one of your wonderful comments!   The drawing/deadline will be Thursday, October 13, no later than 5 p.m. CT.  Good luck!!!  And, thanks so much again for following me!  I hope to never disappoint you!

Now I have a belated birthday project to share that I am sending to a wonderful friend.   She'll know who she is, I'm sure, when she drops by for a visit...lol!!!  But it's okay, I want her to see it!

I started this project as a card; however, when I looked at it, I decided to leave it blank because my friend has grandchildren and I thought this might even be better as a little card album.  So I've left it for her to fill in as she pleases.  Here's a tour of the project:

Here's why I especially thought this would work best as a card album instead of just a card -- it stands alone as a display for whatever is on the pages.  That says, to me, "ALBUM":

I hope my friend likes this, and I hope you do too!!!

Well, I'm off to do some lite chores, run a few errands, and I'll be back later to visit!  Thanks for taking the time to stop by to see me, love you all, hugs, and...

I'll be seeing you!

I DID IT AGAIN!!!

Hello, everyone!!!  And welcome to another new follower!  Very happy to have you in the family!!!  I hope all's well!

Well, I did it again!!!  I'd been such the busy beaver preparing a project for Brenda's birthday blog hop which I mistakenly thought was today when, in fact, the hop date is the 8th which is Saturday.  I just don't seem to have any sense for time or days,..lol!!!  Is it just me?  You'd think I'd keep up with that, particularly when my birthday is the following Sunday... lol!!!  I'm really going to have to work on my internal clock and calendar!!!

Anyway, as I'd invited you to join me today for a project, I did want to have something available for you, so I prepared this little card.  I believe it's called a tunnel card but I'm not sure about that but here's a picture of the card front and the inside:

The effect of the card front was done by layering.  I cut the octogon shaped windows on each layer 1/4 inch smaller progressively and layered them; I used 4 layers.  The depth of the tunnel is dependent on the size of the initial window, the number of layers, and the size/measurements of each window layer.  Here is a view of my layers:

This was really a very simple and fun card to do!  I hope you like it!

Well, I'm off rushing now to get my DT project together for Sheila's blog on Thursday (tomorrow) and I'm absolutely sure of the day this time!!!  LOL!!!   Because I was so focused on thinking I had to have the blog hop project ready today, I have no clue what I'm going to do for my DT project yet but I'll come up with something...lol!!!  Of course, I'll present my DT project here too, so hopefully you'll stop by here if you don't make it over to Sheila's!  I hope I do see you all!

Again, the hop is on this Saturday, October 8.  All details and participant information will be available on the Birthday Wishes Blog Hop post on Saturday.  You want to come along for the inspirating projects, fun, and great blog candy!!!

Hugs, and...

I'll be seeing you!

THANKS BOBBY!!! YES, YOU "MR. CRICUT COUPLE"!!!

Happy Saturday everyone!!!  Wow, you have all been having a crafting great time, and I've so enjoyed visiting your blogs seeing all you've been up to!!!  I'm still working at getting to some of you but I think I'm making good progress.

A little while ago, my friend Bobby of http://cricut.couple.blogspot.com/ made a frame card with an accordian-fold behind it that I loved, so I tried to make one.  I really should have followed Bobby's tutorial but, of course, that would have taken more time than I wanted to spare so I just took the plunge!!!    And besides I wanted my own spin on it!!!

I practiced using scraps from my scrap drawer and wow did I go through a lot of scraps, and I still wasn't getting it -- either the accordian behind the frame was too small or too large -- but it was always something that ended up just plain wrong!!!  So I sat down and constructed it in my head!  Well, needless to say, I didn't get anywhere near close to what Bobby did but I did get something!!!  LOL!!!  At least enough of something to think I'll be able now to go back and do a better one.  I think when I started this project I was making it much harder than it really is.   And, eventhough I want to do one that has my own twist,  I'll still probably go back to watch Bobby's video tutoriral.

Anyway, I made more of a rosette acccordion to go behind the window of this card (being a test sample, I just hand cut the window randomly as it was only my practice card).  I stamped the sentiment which ended up being crooked...uuugh... but I'm going to share this with you anyway because although it may not look great it took a lot of work just to get a COMPLETED card!!!  So, ugly or horrid, like it or not...

I'll be doing a version of this card again, until I'm satisfied with the outcome!!!  Soooo...., get ready, this may be a long and bumpy ride for you!!!  I do hope you'll have patience enough not to run away!!!  LOL!!!

Ha-haaa, have you noticed how I always try to cover up what I think is "unattractive" by using lots of Stickles and now Pearl Pens?!!!  LOL!

Well, thanks a lot Bobby!!!  What an inspiration and a headache you gave me all in one fell-swoop!!!  But I love every minute of it!!!  LOL!!!  I can definitely say this was a challenge!!!

Thanks for stopping by, love you all and big hugs to you...

I'll be seeing you!!!

A PRETTY LITTLE DOUBLE SLIDER CARD

Happy Friday, everyone!!!  Hope WE are ALL going to have a wonderful crafty weekend!!!  LOL!

And, hello and welcome to a new following family-friend!!!  So happy to have you here!  Hope to see and hear from you often!

Last weekend, I had time to sit and browse the internet, and I ran into a blog called the Velvet Ink Cafe (which unfortunately is closed and only open now for viewing -- too bad, it looked like a wonderful blog).  While there I watched a video of someone making a mini book.  At the end of the video there were links to several other craft videos, so I clicked to watch several of them; one was of a double slider card -- I fell in love with this card!!!  Well, needless to say, the designer didn't give directions!  So, I did a Google search for double-slider cards and although I saw a few, I only found tutorials on the single slider cards.  (Actually I did come across a tutorial for a double-slider card but all the directions were in metric measurements which I'm totally no good at).  Because I normally shy away from You Tube for fear of viruses, and which is probably where I could have found a tutorial, I set out to make this card which didn't look difficult -- in fact it wasn't.  I started my draft using a 1/2 sheet of 8.50" x 11" leftover scrap cardstock and, carefully measuring my window opening, the tag, and fold lines for the window shutter, my first draft produced this card, so I began embellishing it.  Can you imagine how excited I was when I finished this card?!!!

Regardless what you guys say I'm really not a good card maker, I take my time and often get lucky... hee-heee!!!  Anyway, after taking all week off and on, I very carefully one step at a time completed this card.

I'm first showing you a picture of the front of the card and progress to the inside because I'm pretty proud of how it turned out -- first draft!!!  Here we go:

When you pull out the tag on the top of the card a window opens on the front of the card and stands up to reveal a message:

I also added a message on the tag which is revealed when pulled out:

My card front reads:  "Never stop dreaming...  In dreams we catch glimpses of life larger than our own"

This is a side view of the card:

And last, here's a picture of the card opened where you can journal your own message:

You have probably seen this card before but I hadn't and I'm in love with it!!!  Didn't mine come out too cute?!!!  Of course now I'll be doing a cut file for it so I won't have to do the cutting, and I'll make it larger, more of a greeting card size -- maybe I'll do both sizes, I kind of like this note card size!  LOL!!!

Well, I'm off to walk Buster and do a bit of spot cleaning around here since I've been running all week; but I'll have plenty of time later to come by to do some visiting with you.  Can you believe I spent time catching up over the last weekend to only get behind in dropping in on you... AGAIN!!!  LOL!  I guess sometimes you really can't win for losing!  LOL!  Well, until I return...

Hugs, love you all, and...

I'll be seeing you!

I THINK IT'S CALLED A "SPINNER" CARD!!!

Hello, all!!!  LOL!!!  I think it's safe for me to say -- again -- this time it really is Friday!!!

Yesterday I was a maniac because I thought I'd waited until the last minute (which I normally do) to prepare for an engagement which is tonight but which I thought was last night; confusing?  Forget it!!!  Anyway, I'm a day ahead on my weekend plan preparations because I ended up with a day I'd lost!!!  OMG, even more confusing!!!

Anyway, as I had a bit more time than I thought, I began on the notepad tutorial -- but,... because I was a day ahead I only partially finished it so that I could begin another project!  (I think I'm on a roll here!)  Suffix it to say, today I'm back where I was yesterday!!!   Okay, I think I better quit while I'm ahead!!!

How naughty you all were too!!!  Only one of you mentioned to me yesterday was Thursday!!!  Thanks, Sandy!!!  LOL!!!

Overall, I managed to finish this little card I'm going to share with you today due to the extra hours of losing the day I found!  I think these cards are called spinners but I'm not really sure.  I've seen these for a long time and decided I finally felt like figuring out how they're done.  I did!!!  This card has 8 images to fit inside the window as you spin it.  I used both words and graphics; I'm going to show you 4 of them; however, I used mirra cardstock which is really difficult to to get good shots of because it's so reflective:

As this is my first, I think I did okay with it!  And they're so much fun!!!

Now I've got to run, want to get in a few more visits with as many of you as I can before preparing for that engagement tonight that, fortunately, I was able to get every ready and everything laid out for yesterday.  Tomorrow morning, I'll be attending a benefit but I'll complete the notepad tutorial when I come in, so it'll be on-schedule for later tomorrow or Sunday!

Ive also had the honor of being passed another award from another sweet family-friend (maybe two), so I'll be presenting and passing that on also!

As always, thanks for stopping by -- you're all so wonderful and I love you so!!!

I'll be seeing you!

FATHER I STRETCH MY HANDS TO THEE...

Hello, everyone!  Hope all's well and that you're loving life!!!

Today I have a happy accident to share!  I thought I was going to have to abandon and toss this card because I had no idea of what I wanted the outcome to be; I'd cut it, glued it, took it apart several times.  What I did know was I wanted to do a card for a friend going through a difficult time, and that I really wanted to use the little embellishment I'd made as a complement.  However, constructing the card just wasn't working.  I went back and forth with it about 3 times and was thinking I was going to ruin the paper and have to start over again.  Just as I was about to give up -- almost miraculously -- the card began to come together into something I began to like -- by sheer accident:

The embellie was a metal frame I found in the dollar store.  I cut the box-frame edge from around the embossed area, affixed a picture I found on the internet to the inside of the blank and filled it with Glossy Accents.  The picture is of a woman with her arms outstetched and reaching towards the sky.  Here's the inside of the card which reads, "Father I Stretch My Hands To Thee... No Other Help I Know":
It was pretty top heavy because I had to keep re-doing it and very carefully because of the cut-out front.  To keep the bottom from being flimsy I glued on a panel with the sentiment (computer generated).  I really like this card and I certainly hope you do to.  And, I hope it lets my friend know that in troubling times there's always an answer.
Yesterday I didn't get back to post a beautiful award I recieved from two (2) dear and sweet family-friends, Sandy and Susan:

In accepting this award I must answer the following 12 questions, and pass the award on to 10 others:
Name your favorite color?  The combination of gold and cream
Name your favorite song?  I don't really have a favorite song
Name your favoirte dessert?  Chocolate icecream with a slice of cream cheese cake (lol!)
What wizzes you off at the moment?  At the moment I am absolute wonderful -- nothing wizzing me off
Your favorite pet?  "The" Buster, of course!
Black or white?  Depends on what's blackor white
Your biggest fear?  Living past 100
Best feature?  I really don't know
Everyday attitude?  Typically happy and calm
What is perfection?  For me, I'd say all things in Heaven
Guilty pleasure?  Buying and sneaking in crafting supplies without the hubby knowing it
When you're upset?  I do several things depending on the situation but mostly I cry and/or pray
This award is being passed on to:
Thank you, again, ladies for my beatufil award!!!  And thank you for thinking of me!

As for everyone else, please go visit ALL my wonderful family when you have time to drop in on them!!!  Just click all of their names to be directed to their blogs.

Have a happy day!!!  And, of course...,

I'll be seeing you!

FRAME CARD WITH GREETING/PHOTO TAG INSERT

Happy Thursday!!!  I hope everyone is well and happily crafting!!!

Today I'd like to share with you a sweet  little baby boy card I made.  This card has a removable tag which serves as a greeting but can be removed, flipped over to affix a photo to, then reinserted back into the frame:

Here's a look at the inside of the card:

I really like how my little card came out; I hope you like it too!

How ironic that I posted this card today, went to visit my friend Sandy at Sandy's Space and found she had a challenge going on for projects for boys!!!  Well, I'm not certain my card qualifies but I entered it anyway!  If you're interested in doing a challenge on something for the boys, please visit my friend here.  While you're there have a look around, Sandy is an exceptionally talented lady!!!

IF BIRDS CAN FLY HIGH..., WHY CAN'T WE?

Hello, blogging family!  I hope everyone's having a happy day!

Wow, I have more new followers!!!  Welcome!  Very happy to have you!  And I hope we get much better acquainted... I love a growing family!!!  Please always make yourselves at home here.

I've been "attempting" to craft over the last few days, however, I haven't been satisfied with any of my projects.  I'd gotten close to completing what I thought would be an interesting project but at the last minute I totalled it!!!  From that point on nothing came out as I wanted.  It was becoming increasingly frustrating, not to mention a waste of craft paper and supplies trying to figure out what to do and how, so I took a break!!!  I grabbed a Buster and a book,  and we headed out to the backyard to relax.  Hearing a couple of birds singing and playing, I looked up to watch them and asked myself  if birds can fly everyday without falling from the sky -- why can't I craft everyday without failing!!!  Well..., as silly as this sounds, last night I sat down determined to make a card and all I knew was that it had to have birds-- for whatever/however the reason!  This is the card I made:

Now I'm not a great cardmaker and I know it, but when an inspiration hits me, I try... and sometimes I'm pleased!  I like this card and I have to thank the birds for it!!!  The inside of the card reads: "If birds can fly high..., why can't we?"

I hope you like it too!

Over the last several months, I've had several family situations - some serious, some not -- but which have kept me from blogging and visiting as regularly as I'd been doing.  During these times, you have been patient, kind, understanding but most important you did not forsake me.  In advance, I'd like to thank all my followers for making this a wonderful, loving and caring family!!!  One I love and look forward to coming to!  I am so pleased also to be a part of your family of friends!  Therefore, as a show of my appreciation, my next post will be blog candy!  Please come back and join me in celebrating my good fortune in finding and having all of you  in my life!!!

Thanks for stopping by and a great big hug!!!

I'll be seeing you!

A TRIPLE TWISTED EASEL CARD!!! AND THE "GIVEAWAY" WINNER!

Happy Monday, everyone!!!  I prayed I'd find you well, happy, and crafting, and I believe in my prayers!!!

Other than being uncomfortably hot, I'm feeling a bit better; although I did get up and made an appointment to see my doctor!  My appointment is Wednesday morning -- better safe than sorry!!!

If you haven't heard, we're having another day with a heat index in the 100's -- phew!!!  I'm sure it's probably hot where you are too but I certainly hope you're handling it better than I am.  I don't even feel like crafting and that's NOT good --  but I've been trying; I love my playtime!!!  Lol!!!

I've got a card to share that I saw at CHA Supershow.  I think I've seen this maybe once somewhere in our blogland neighborhood recently, but I'm sure; and, if so, I can't remember where or who did it.  Anyway, although done easel cards, and have seen a few double-twisted easel cards, I'd never seen a triple one before and I just knew I had to try one.  I pretty much figured it out by "aggressively" examining the one on display at the supershow at one of the booths!  I was trying to look conspicuous while trying to figure it out but I think they knew what I was doing!  LOL!!!  Anyway, it simple and, if this isn't the right fold, it looks right and works for me!!!  Here it is:

Isn't this too cool?!!!  If you want to know how I did it, I'd be glad to do a quick tutorial -- let me know!!!  It's really easy!

Okay, now I'll move forward to the winner of the giveaway!  Random.org. selected  #6:

ANOTHER CARD USING ANOTHER CHA SUPERSHOW PURCHASE!!!

Happy Sunday, everyone!!!  I pray you're all feeling much better than I am.  Yes!!!  I'm still not feeling too well, I can't seem to shake this nagging migraine!  I am, though, trying to deal with it.

I noticed I have several new followers I'd like to welcome into our little close-knit family!  Welcome newcomers!!! I hope you enjoy your visits here, please do browse around, make yourselves right at home, and visit with some of the others in our neighbor!  Also, please check out my previous post and comment for the small giveaway of a stamp, if you're interested.  You are more than welcome to participate.

Okay everyone, I have another card to share with you today.  Of course, again, I'm using accessories purchased at the CHA Supershow.  The stamp is made by Heartfelt Creations and is called the "Bella Rose Sroll", and as with the previous stamp I posted, this also has a corresponding die.  The stamp also comes as a set of 2 stamps -- the scroll image and a sentiment stamp... how cool is that?!!!

To give a bit of color to the stamped image, I used Viva Inka-Gold.  What I like most about these inks as opposed to the Luster line is that you can add water to decrease and/or intensify the color.  Here's a picture of the stamp and inks:

And here's the card:

The only thing I didn't enjoy in making this card was cutting out the images.  I cut out 2 of the scrolls and several of the florals to layer to give it dimension.  I did add a bit of stickles for effect, and just mounted the images to a card.  I didn't do any other deocr or embellishing on this card because I didn't think it need it -- to me, it looks pretty in the simplicity in which it was put together.

Now if you haven't already done so, please get your comments in on my previous posts for the stamp giveaway.  You have until 5 p.m. tomorrow!

Thanks so much for stopping by!!!  Love you all, and ...

I'll be seeing you!

UPDATED LINK INFO!!! ANOTHER CARD FROM A SUPERSHOW FIND!!!

UPDATE:  The previous link to the Happy Crafters website was incorrect on this original post below.  The link is now updated correctly, and will direct you to the website.

Happy Thursday, everyone!!!  AND... I've got it right today!!!!  I don't know if you noticed or not, but I thought yesterday was Tuesday when I greeted you all on my post.  For the life of me, I don't know where I lost it, however, I actually lost an entire day!!!  Guess my headache was worse than I thought...lol!!!

Anyway, I have another card I made from another CHA Supershow find.  The embossing board I used for my is designed by the "Glitter Girls" and, if you like it, can be purchased at The Happy Crafters website:  http://www.happycrafter.com/.  Here'sa picture of the board:

And here's the card I made using it:

The rhinestones on this card are actually clear rhinestones, the blue was picked up from my blouse which reflected onto the gems.  It turned out really nice but I wish I'd used more lively colors!  The paper colors I used are cream and gold, but I rubbed a black Luster Rub-On creme over the background embossed area and it gave it such a dark look -- looks almost masculine to me.  Anyway, next time I make this card, I'll use a lighter color-scheme.  Overall, I like the appearance and this is going to be another fun board I'm going to enjoy using.

I didn't complete the inside of this card as I don't know what occassion I'll use it for, so I'll just put it aside to have until something appropriate comes up.

Okay, my beautiful family-friends, that's about it for now; however, I'll be back!

Thanks for stopping by!!!  And, of course...,  I'll be seeing you!!!

AN "UNFINISHED" CARD PROJECT!

Happy Tuesday, family and friends!!!  Hope all's well in Blogland!!!

Unfortunately, my blood pressure has been a little  high since yesterday evening, so I've been battling a slight headache since late yesterday.  I did try to visit some of you but after reading several blogs my headache felt as though it was getting worse, so I'll get to those of you I haven't a bit later.  However, I did want to get started on playing with some of my new "stuff" I bought at the show, so I got up this morning and began playing.

This is one of the sets of dies I purchased at the show.  It is a line called GEO-Dies and the company that makes them is called Pop-Ups Etc.:

If you like the die, please visit http://www.geo-dies.com/.

I began working on a little card using the die just to get a feel for it.  I'd almost completed it but couldn't quite get the idea from the back of my to the front on just how I wanted it completed... LOL!  I know I'm going to cut-out either words or images for each side panel opening onto the card, and add a sentiment to the inside; however, I just don't know what words, images, or sentiments -- I don't know if it's going to be a birthday card, all occasion, thank you, etc. (?).  I also have to finish the inside with Peel-Offs but I couldn't wait to come up with all of that as I wanted you to see an example of this die more.  I love it!!!

Of course, as I've always said, I'm not really a great cardmaker and, therefore, I'm open to your suggestions (hint-hint).  Anyway, here's the card using the die:

I made this into sort of a 3-fold card (I guess that's what it'd be called); I was trying to do something a bit different with it:

I'll show it to you again when I've added all the finishing touches to it, and I'm sure you'll be seeing a lot more I'll be doing using this die because I'm really liking it a lot; it's such fun!!!

Well, for now, that's it.  But, for sure... I'll be seeing you soon!

Hugs!
