WELCOME!

WELCOME!

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to have you visit with me and I hope you enjoy your stay. I absolutely love company, sharing, and making new friends so I hope you find something here that inspires, motivates, or just pleases you in some way.

Of course, I love to visit and be inspired also. So if I don't already drop in on you, please let me know where I can find you and I'll hop on over to see what you're doing or to just say "hi".

Before you go, I would love it if you'd please leave me a comment letting me know you dropped in! Actually, I'd just love to hear from you -- comments, opinions, or questions you'd like me to answer.

In the meantime, relax and make yourselves at home... you're family here!!!

I'll be seeing you!

LIFE INTERRUPTED... AGAIN!

Hello, everyone!  I'm doing fine!

Unfortunately, my time here on my blog and in the neighborhood is being greatly interrupted while I assist in caring for my aunt; it's really time-consuming trying to run 2 households but I'm holding up okay!  Finding good home-care isn't easy either. From the first I didn't care at all for the 2 caregivers already sent out, and there's no way I'd leave my aunt with them.  It's not like me to be so judgmental but after meeting them not only didn't I care for them, I wouldn't trust them any further than I could see them!!!  So now it's back to following up with more caregivers and more agencies.   Not that anyone will probably last long with my aunt anyway as she's so demanding and particular they'd more than likely run away -- fast -- after a few days...lol!!!

I have been working on a small project to have ready to post for my DT project over at Pam's on Friday but I doubt I'll have much time the rest of this week to do anything more for you.  My aunt's birthday is tomorrow and I'm still trying to contact a few family folks  I haven't been able to reach yet to come over Saturday to help celebrate her turning 90!!!

Well, I had to drop by and let you know I was thinking of you, and missing you.  As of right now, until things straighten out, this is probably how erratic my life is going to be for a minute; I'll be in and out when I can but although God knows I'm doing my best, it's difficult trying to find a little extra time.

However, I do hope you'll try to join me here or over at Pam's on Friday.  I'll have a simple and fast project but a cute one which would be a great gift idea.  I think you'll like it!

Love you all, hugs and...

I'll be seeing you as soon as I can!

You are an angel! I am sure your aunt appreciates all you are doing for her! Plus as hard at it may seem some days...the reward is always worth it! To know that she is being cared for the way you would want to be cared for! It is really sad these days that good help is so very hard to find! I wish you all the best in your searches!!
Have a GREAT day!

I was just thinking of you this morning and was going to pop over and see how things were going. i can so understand, no one ever wants to help and it is so sad. I had to laugh when you said no one would stay, I remember one Christmas I had finally found a care giver for my grandmother. I was home cooking our Christmas dinner and got a phone call and the care giver said they were leaving because my grandmother was so mean, I asked if they would stay till I could get there and they said if I hurried, because they were leaving. I will continue to pray that u will find someone. I am sorry I always go on and on when I leave u a comment. I thought about deleting it. But it took awhile to type all this. Lol
I pray that you will find a little time for you.. Hugs

Audrey, I have missed you but what you are doing with your Aunt is more important and comes first, Its hard to trust people these days... so if you have bad vibes about the caregivers, your right to stay with your Aunt, Oprah says that little voice we have is God trying to tell us stuff! Glad you were listening! Well you have a great day my friend and i hope to visit you again soon!

Audrey, best of luck in caring for your Aunt. She is lucky to have family close by and willing to help out. Good luck with the birthday celebration!

And good luck in search to find someone to help out. It is not easy and go with your guy, if you don't like them! Good luck, my friend!

I totally agree about good care givers! We had only one for my dad and I was so excited to have help, but she wasted no time in stealing from him. Take care of yourself -- my dad was a 'handful', too, and it wore me out :-) Please wish her a Happy Birthday from me! If I had been on the ball, I would have put a card in the mail -- I haven't made my Mom's yet, either! Have a great weekend!
Hugs, Judy

Happy 90th to your Aunt! I don't blame you on the caregivers, if you don't feel comfortable, best to trust your feelings.

I hope you find the right person that both you and your Aunt feel confident with.

Hugs and blessings, Lori m

You take care of yourself as well Audrey. Sorry I haven't been around much either. I had to take a 2 week trip to Hawaii. Sounds wonderful Huh, NOT.I went to help my daughter for she needed surgery and it rained for 2 weeks straight. This will make you laugh: one morning we even had hail (a 100 year event, figures)the weather people said: look it's raining ice balls from the sky, lol.
Anyway I pray for you and your family and hope you find a good health care worker for your aunt. Hugs, Mary

Life is like that. My mom had surgery about a month ago and I had to drive long distances to help her. Hopefully she will soon be on her feet. GOD Bless you for taking care of her.
