REACHING OUT TO TOUCH... (A PROJECT TOO)

Good day, family-friends.  I hope all is well in blogland.

Considering how things are going, I haven't had time to get around to visiting all of you and/or visit with any consistency; therefore, this post is mainly to  reach out to each and everyone of you saying hello, and to let you know I'm thinking of you; particularly those of you I haven't reached yet.

Update, the kitchen-remodel is one I wish we hadn't began!  We've had to move up the work date and delivery dates by a couple of days because I did not anticipate how much preparation time it would take before the work could start.  I am still packing and trying to find places to store things I'm determining to keep, and I still have to decide on and purchase flooring and wall tiles.  Between praying, crying, and expelling a few choice words I wouldn't normally use, I'm a wreck!!!  Disregarding my bathrooms, my kitchen is one of the smallest rooms in my home and I can't imagine I've packed sooooo much stuff in one teeny-tiny space  and causing me so much frustration!

An example of how bad things are going, the other night I was so tired I broke down and literally threw a tantrum accusing my hubby of this all being his fault.  Thank GOD he laughed at and overlooked me.  What a great stress-reliever that was because I ended up laughing at myself too.  Unfortunately, my son didn't think it was so funny when he came to help and I got "snippy" with him; but, of course, he understood and has forgiven me.  Seriously, this is turning me into a maniac!!!  I'm not liking myself very much right now.

In the meantime -- and between --  I completed a project to share (aaaah, my crafting -- another stress reliever).  This project came about when I saw my aunt's address/phonebook  which was small, so worn she could hardly read it, and was held together by rubber bands.  Of course to me that meant making her a new one.  Here it is:

I added a page on the inside that shows all her emergency numbers (I did not picture this page as, understandably, it's completed with the names and numbers), and alpha-tab pages for her to add her own additional information, and a page to write notes.  Here are pictures of the inside pages:

I even made the last back page to match:

I did all the pages in WordPerfect.  As quick and easy as it was, I'm so pleased with how it turned out -- but a problem is that she'll be as pleased and won't want to use it!!!  LOL!!!  Knowing her, she'll want to wrap it in tissue and only pull it out for "show"!!!  Maybe I should start on a plain and ordinary one she'll actually use, huh?  LOL!

Again, I know I'm behind on visiting and commenting but, unfortunately, it's not going to be any better until my work is done. So, please hang in here with me as you've always done -- oh yea, say a little prayer for me too... LOL!!!

Well, I'm off  again.  Still got packing and shopping to do, so I'll be back when I can.  Hugs and love to you all, and...

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be seeing you!

Renovations are always stressful Audrey, but it will be all worth it in the end and when you are sitting in your lovely new kitchen, you will wonder what all the fuss was about! Your address book is stunning, as are all your creations. TFS and Hugs, Karon

Your project is just as cute as can be. As far as your remodeling... there is nothing harder as it creates chaos in ones life. I hope it comes together soon for your sake. TFS

Audrey, your address book is so pretty, I see what you mean she might think it's too pretty to use. It's hard living thru a remodel, keep reminding yourself it will be worth it in the long run. I know your thinking of me so you don't have to stop by my blog, nothing new there. HA! Have a great weekend, Shari (cricutrookie)

OMG Audrey this is just beautiful. I know what you mean about visiting and commenting. It hard to do when I am working 6 days. I truly miss visiting and commenting. I have to do it randomly.

Audrey, The address book is beautiful and I agree she probably will not use it! Don't worry about the kitchen remodel, you'll pull everything together Don't keep things that you aren't using, I have a serious problem with that myself.

Looking at this project it sure doesn't seem like a maniac created it! I'm sorry things are wacky right now, but do keep the end in mind. Soon enough you'll be blogging pictures of that beautiful kitchen. Hang in there sweetie! Love your address book here! I mean I absolutely love it!

I wouldn't want to use this gorgeous book either! It is stunning! But, the best part is that it is a creation of love and thoughtfulness.

I can't image the trouble of going through a kitchen re-model, but think of the wonderful end result.

Hi Audrey! Sorry that things are so overwhelming at the moment but one good thing for sure is that this is temporary. You are STRONG! You will get through it. We will wait however long it takes. Thanks for being so thoughtful to communicate with us and always support us. Now it is our turn. I will definitely continue to keep you lifted in prayer. Your "guys" know you are under lots of stress & love you very much. It is wonderful to see them showing it. You managed to share yet another marvelous creation. Even in the midst of your madness you still think of others and do for others. You are wonderful!!!
Love you lots! Hang in there!
Hugs,
Sonia

Such a gorgeous address book. I am sure you are right about her not wanting to use it, I know I would only keep it for "show and tell". :)
Renovating is a horrid time. Hang in there girl; it will all get done. (and you will keep a grip on sanity even if you don't think so at this time).

Your Aunt will love it and I'm thinking how right you are, she won't want to use it.

Relax, breath, enjoy, I can't even phantom the idea of remodeling a kitchen. Just having a new kitchen faucet put in was a project that stressed me out. I'm not good on remodeling things.

Just imagine the time passing quick and soon you'll be enjoying that fabulous new kitchen.

Enjoy, hugs, prayers and blessings, Lori m

Oh Sweetie I am sorry your kitchen remodel is frustrating you so much!! We re-did our kitchen 2 years ago and I remember packing up everything - why do we save so much stuff we rarely (if ever) use???

Sending a prayer your way that you and your family survive this ordeal with minimal stress!!!

Your address book cover is simply stunning!!! What a sweet gift for your Aunt and so happy it brought you some stress relief!!!

oh sweet audrey, i bet i like you even if you turn into a maniac forever. lol.
no remodel is easy especially when we hoard so much. did you ever get to see the pics from my attic stuff we have accumulated for years? and then we had to empty the attic again because the ac went? lol.
tell me about being a maniac, hehe.

Remodels can really be the pits. But when it's done it will all be beautiful. Now about this address book. It's too beautiful to use. You must be your families' greatest treasure.
