IF BIRDS CAN FLY HIGH..., WHY CAN'T WE?

Hello, blogging family!  I hope everyone's having a happy day!

Wow, I have more new followers!!!  Welcome!  Very happy to have you!  And I hope we get much better acquainted... I love a growing family!!!  Please always make yourselves at home here.

I've been "attempting" to craft over the last few days, however, I haven't been satisfied with any of my projects.  I'd gotten close to completing what I thought would be an interesting project but at the last minute I totalled it!!!  From that point on nothing came out as I wanted.  It was becoming increasingly frustrating, not to mention a waste of craft paper and supplies trying to figure out what to do and how, so I took a break!!!  I grabbed a Buster and a book,  and we headed out to the backyard to relax.  Hearing a couple of birds singing and playing, I looked up to watch them and asked myself  if birds can fly everyday without falling from the sky -- why can't I craft everyday without failing!!!  Well..., as silly as this sounds, last night I sat down determined to make a card and all I knew was that it had to have birds-- for whatever/however the reason!  This is the card I made:

Now I'm not a great cardmaker and I know it, but when an inspiration hits me, I try... and sometimes I'm pleased!  I like this card and I have to thank the birds for it!!!  The inside of the card reads: "If birds can fly high..., why can't we?"

I hope you like it too!

Over the last several months, I've had several family situations - some serious, some not -- but which have kept me from blogging and visiting as regularly as I'd been doing.  During these times, you have been patient, kind, understanding but most important you did not forsake me.  In advance, I'd like to thank all my followers for making this a wonderful, loving and caring family!!!  One I love and look forward to coming to!  I am so pleased also to be a part of your family of friends!  Therefore, as a show of my appreciation, my next post will be blog candy!  Please come back and join me in celebrating my good fortune in finding and having all of you  in my life!!!

Thanks for stopping by and a great big hug!!!

I'll be seeing you!

I'm so excited! I came back by here to get the measurements of that amazing triple twist easel card and you had posted again! Looks like I'm the first to comment too! LOVE this bird card, and what the heck do you mean you are not a great card maker! Well, now that I think about it, you are right. . .you are not a great card maker. . .you are an INCREDIBLE card maker! LOVE this card and all the glitter! The colors remind me of a "dreamsickle" ice cream bar. Love this card and the inspiration from which it was born. Had to laugh when you said you "grabbed a Buster". So cute and funny. Hugs, Curt

Hi Audrey, glad everything is o.k. with you also. I posted also, the reason why I haven't done anything since the last project is because I just got a second job, THANK GOD, part-time. In this economy, it's nice to have extra money for myself. Anyway, it's taking me a little while to adjust. I'm mentally and physically pooped out. :) I'm going to try to start find more me time and get some things done. Thanks for caring, it means alot.

Sweetie I totally understand the blogging breaks. You know during my last absence I was totally amazed at the "friends" that still contacted me, sent me emails, real cards.
That is why I blog and why I follow special people just like you.
I think your card is wonderful, and I KNOW you are a beautiful card maker.

AND what a beautiful card... isn't God amazing. You are such a very special person, who couldn't help but want to be one of your followers... I am so blessed to be able to call you my friend. I absolutely love your card, there is no way anyone would say you are "not a card marker"... you are such an inspiration, and I don't think there is anything you can't do and do "beautifully"... hugs from Ukiah

You need to stop that. You are AWESOME in all that you do. Sometimes we need to take a break and just step back and let the Lord use you the SAME WAY HE USED THOSE BIRDS. Your card is just 2 cute, I am so glad that you made it 1. for me to see and 2. because just so you can see that you could do it. If you can take a ice cream box and turn it into a WORK OF ART. How could you feel that you are any less then a great CRAFTER. As for your family and problems, you have my family here in LAKE CITY FLORIDA praying for your family. God only say YES AND AMEN to us. GIRL YOU ROCK IN MY BOOK.
Hugs Monique

Audrey,
You are much too modest, you are indeed a great cardmaker, and excellent crafter. I enjoy all of your projects!

Hi, all! I'm so glad you liked my card, although I don't think I'm modest at all! I really "don't" think I'm such a good cardmaker; particularly when I see the cards you guys make! However, I'm happy you feel the way you do and I appreciate it -- just more incentive for me to keep on keeping on -- LOL!!!

Donna, the birds used on this card is from the Damask Decor cart.

Thank you all for stopping by!!! You are just too wonderful!

You have been so very kind to me as I struggle through some of life's little challenges. I hope that your challenges stay little ones and that you find much love along the way. Hugs.

Audrey, This a beautiful card. I love the birds you used. And I especially love that you put one in the circle cut out. I'. at a loss right now for inspiration. Maybe I should go sit outside for a while. I have been so busy getting ready for school I have just not been thinking very creatively. I'm hoping to get back to it soon.
Hugs to you,
Charlotte
