Hello, family. I hope all's been well in blogland! I know it's been a while but I've been through quite an ordeal the last few months. I'm praying for things to remain quiet -- at least for a awhile -- so that I can immediately relax back to my crafting, blogging, and you!!! I've missed so much and can't wait to see what you've been up to, and what I have to catch up on. I guess I'm waaay out of the loop now... lol! I know life has many twists and turns but I'm so grateful to be able to breathe for a minute ... hopefully longer! I'm just so glad to be here!!!
My aunt is doing okay and Leonard is doing well; his therapy ended several weeks ago and he's back to being out and about. I've thought of you often, prayed for you, hoped you had a wonderful holiday season, and that all's been well in blogland. With family situations taking a "right" turn we were finally able to to prepare for today when most of our family finally got a chance for a small get-together to celebrate the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holidays we missed sharing in 2012; otherwise I would have been here a bit sooner. We ate well, laughed much, enjoyed being able to finally come together in good spirit, and exchanged gifts that had sat unopened for weeks. But, most importantly, we were able to put aside all the sadness and grief we've endured so we could enjoy each other and be thankful for all the blessings we have received! Although we were late in coming together, it was so much better and meant even more. Hopefully we can now all move on to many more brighter and better times.
With our celebration ending, I've rushed here (to my extended family) because I didn't want to waste any more time in dropping in to give you a very hardy hello, let you know I've sincerely missed you, and that I'll be dropping in on you shortly ... telling you this so I won't shock you when you see me... lol. Now that it looks like I may have some time, I'm getting started crafting tonight!!! So..., I'll have something to post soon too! Hubby says I've been like an Eveready battery, moving almost non-stop and that I should be still a couple of days to rest... lol... he still just doesn't realize crafting is my rest for this tired ole body!!!
I only recently had a chance to sit down to read through comments and emails, and was pleased (and appreciative) to see the extended prayers and well wishes from many of you eventhough I was unable to communicate back. Thank you for being there for me, your prayers were heard and answered.
So, I'm off to play a bit but expect to see me! Again, thank you so much for your kindness and patience during what was an extremely difficult time. My family sends "thanks" too.
Now I won't take up anymore of your crafting time; besides my Christmas presents included some craft toys I can't wait to finally get my hands on. Thank you for stopping by, love you, sincerely hope I'm here for awhile with no more intrusive "events", and I'm so glad you're all a part of my life. I'll be seeing you...
WELCOME!
WELCOME!

GOOD NEWS!
Happy Sunday, family!!! Hope all's well!
I am not a person who likes to dwell on sad or depressing things, I love happiness and happy times! Although sad, this does makes me very happy and fills me with so much pride. My brother wasn't able to discuss the events of my nephew during the time of preparation; however, last night I called him to check in. He told me some things that he couldn't bring himself to deal with earlier that now I believe he's beginning to reconsider, feel better about, and is making him feel proud. My nephew did not smoke or drink, and other than the heart attack was a healthy 34 year old young man. My brother related to me that my nephew's organs went toward saving 63 lives, his vitals to save about 29, and 80% of his tissue and bones will go toward saving the lives of many others. I am so very proud of him for wanting todo this. I'm glad too my brother is gradually accepting the wonderful contribution his son has made. Maybe it was sooner than my nephew had expected, but he did what he wanted to do and it's a good thing! Just thought I'd share!
More good news! I won the Cuttlebug Spot "Inspired By An Advertisement" Challenge for the week of January 25. Here again is the winning card:

Finally, I like to thank my sweet and wonderful friend Sandy for passing on to me the "My Blog has Attitude" Blog Award:
As this is another award I've previously received, I will forego passing it on but will add Sandy's name to it on my sidebar. Thanks, again, Sandy! I always appreciate when my family considers me with any act of kindness.
Well, I'll be back with another project to share in a little while!
I'll be seeing you!

ABSENCE UPDATE
Hello, everyone. I am praying all is well with you. And, thank you all so very-very much for the many condolences and prayers; all are so very much appreciated.
I'm hoping this post goes through as my brother's computer is old, extremely slow, and very finicky. I attempted earlier to visit some of you but it took so long to pull up your blogs it would time out. I'm pretty bored right now sitting here by myself with nothing to do but think.
I'll begin by saying, the news is that nothing physical was found that could be attributed to my nephew's heart attack.
As for me, I am in still in Philadelphia. My brother left for Fargo early Tuesday morning without me. I am here with my neice. The reason, as it happens, my brother was only made aware Monday evening my nephew was an organ donor; therefore, the hospital immediately begin removing his organs once he arrived at the hospital Sunday night-- another shocking blow!!! My brother waited until I got here to tell me. He and my nephew's mother arranged to have what was left of my nephew cremated shortly after my brother arrived there yesterday afternoon. As you can imagine they are both devastated. I know it must just double the pain my nephew had never told him (or his mother) he was a donor, and to come as a total surprise to everyone. As there will be nothing to view, there will only be a memorial on this Thursday (tomorrow); my brother will be leaving coming back here immediately after the service. As my little neice had already missed so many "snow" days out of school and because there was no chance of her having the opportunity to see and/or tell her brother good-bye, my brother decided it would be best for her not to be there while he and his ex-wife attended to the arrangements. So, here I am trying to occupy and comfort her as best I can when she comes home from school and settles down. She was fine at while at school and with her little friends yesterday, but after the day's activities were over last night, it hit her like a ton of bricks, and it was so very painful. After a rough night, I was willing to let her stay home from school today but she wanted to go. I guess it'll be the same tonight; if so, I'm praying for the strength to get through this again. My main objective was to come be supportive of my brother and as this was how he needed me, I really have no choice; but it's heartbreaking enough for an adult -- even more to watch a child trying to cope. Life has so many twists, turns and surprises; I guess we just do what we have to do. I do hate not being there to comfort my brother and my nephew's mother, and having to miss the memorial; though, fortunately, after being divorced, my brother and my nephew's mother remained good friends, so at least they have each other to get through what needed/needs to get done.
Before my brother left for North Dakota, he introduced me to a couple of his neighbors. They are so very kind; they have checked on Priscilla and me several times already, and even prepared and brought us dinner yesterday evening. Of course I'd prepared a meal for Priscilla and me, so we have something for tonight.
So, this is where things stand right now. I plan on being back home Friday evening or early Saturday morning, depending on when my brother gets in and when my flight is confirmed. If I can touch base before then I will. In the meantime, I do hope this post goes through without timing out.
I miss you and hope you're doing happy crafting!

HELLO EVERYONE! DON'T FORGET MY BLOGAVERYSARY CANDY GIVEAWAY IF YOU HAVEN'T COMMENTED YET!!!
Good Sunday afternoon!!! I hope you're all enjoying what's left of a beautiful weekend!!! And thank you all for your gracious comments respecting my mother and sharing a moment with me.
I hope, if you that haven't already done so, to please remember to comment using the phrase " a little bit othis, a little bit of that" to be eligible for my blogaversary candy -- it's open to everyone!!! You have until 5 p.m. (CT) today to get your comments in.
What an interesting evening I spent yesterday. I've developed this nasty cold I've been nursing with plenty of fluids, soup, and cold meds to prevent it from getting any worse. As a matter of fact I felt well enough to get started on the pendants for my resin pendant winners, and even took some time to get familiar with my Imagine yesterday. I do think getting to know it better, I'll be able to come up with more interesting projects than my first one; but it's just not DS -- which I just love! In between, I kept looking at the pictures of my mom and crying. I really don't cry easily, so I know most of it is emotion, but the rest has got to be hormonal!!! LOL!!!
I should have stayed home with this cold today, but I HAD to be in church to to just give thanks for all the wonderful blessings!!! I took my mom's pictures with me for everyone there to see and cried everytime someone said a kind word or made a warm gesture; I sure hope I didn't spread any cold germs! I did keep my mouth and nose covered, and tried to keep some distance from everyone.
I have to say my mother was not only my mom but my very-very best friend and I'm so grateful she was here long enough to see me married, and for my son to get to know his grammy well enough he remembers her. I know I've gotten accustomed to being "physically" without her, however, these pictures have made me realize I've never let go -- I never will and no regrets! I don't want to get gushy but, a message to you; if you have your mom, don't take it for granted, treasure every moment. That's all on that subject!
I'm not uncomfortable but I know I've got to work on this cold so I'm off to take more cold meds and get a nice hot cup of tea, but I'll be back later with the numbered list of candy participants and to let you know when the drawing will be!!!
I'll be seeing you! Hugs!

REMINDER FOR PHOTO RESIN PENDANT DRAWING!!!
Hello all my wonderful family-friends! I hope all's well!
I am so sorry I have been unable to come and visit but I've been having a rough time these last few weeks, and more busy than imaginable. To give you a brief summary of what I've went through, I was late getting my first batch of soap to the customer and worked feverishly through the night to have it ready for him the next day. Ironically, the second batch came out too strong, so it wasn't usable -- I think I was just too tired to have even attempted starting making in the first place. Next, I had one box filled with 27 glass bottles of parfum and the hubby accidently dropped the box -- you know the rest! I had to redo those bottles! Unfortunately, I haven't had time to take any pictures, I've been moving so fast with none of the time available at the rate I'm going. I'm tired but trying to get through this. I don't think I'll be doing this again next year, it's getting to be way too enormous.
Anyway, I wanted to remind you that I will "pop" in tomorrow for the pendant drawing. I don't know if there are any new participants but I'll be doing the drawing for those of you who have posted. If you haven't, you have until 12 p.m. (CT) tonite!
Again, I apologize for having to run, but I still have a considerable amount left to do and I have to have all my orders completed by Saturday.
I'll be dropping back by tomorrow with the drawing results!
I miss you all so very much, and I hope holiday preparations are going great!!! I should be back next week! And for those of you who have contacted me and send me some love, thank you so very much!!!
Hugs!
P.S. I'm still waiting on photos/words for resin pendants from a couple of the winners -- don't forget to email them to me. My email address is: audreyfrel@sbcglobal.net

I'M MISSING YOU SOMETHING AWFUL!!!
Hi, everyone! I hope you're all doing well!!!
Although I really don't have the time to spare, I just had to drop in to say hello and to let you know I really miss you. Sorry I've been unable to post and/or visit these several days, but I'm soooo behind in getting everything done. I really pushing myself trying to make my quotas and deadlines, and having to work alone this year and with being concerned too with my aunt, I'm having a very difficult time. I'm tired but I do have a few moments where I really enjoy the challenge of getting through all this.
I've got all my soap poured and it's setting right now in a cool place in the basement. Once it's set, I can cut and shrink wrap it. I will snap some pictures once it's ready so that you can see. In the meantime, while waiting to do that, I've been busy on the other toiletries I have to do.
I started out trying to take pictures for you as I go, but as the time gets nearer to getting everything ready, I'm not finding much time to stop and take pictures right now. I would like, while I'm taking this moment, to share with you some of the pictures I have managed to "squeeze" in:
Here are just 2 of the bags filled with the bottles, jars, etc. I have to fill with toiletries:

This picture is where I started pulling out and organizing some of the ingredients I use in my toiletries: essential and fragrance oils, unrefined/refined shea, mango, and cocoa butters, vitamin E, Glycerin, sweet almond oil, etc. These is just some of what I pulled off my shelves to get started.
I make everything in separate batches according to the different essential/fragrance oils being used. The perfumes and body oils are colored according to their different scents. Here is a batch of lotion I'm whipping up:
To assure everything stays clean and sanitary, before capping all the bottles and jars, I first make certain it's sealed.
After the containers are filled and secure, I get the labels ready to label them. Here're some items ready to be labeled:
Here's an order that's labeled. This is part of an order for linen sprays. This person is giving each of his favorite customers s a personalized bottle -- 31 bottles!!! Whty am I not somebody's favorite customer?!!! LOL!
This order is for a friend who has an auto supply / repair shop. He's requested 6 personalized car refreshers and 50 just to put in his shop to sell and/or giveaway:
Oh, and I've just got to show you this!!! This is the second year I've made this and this year I've gotten over 100 requested orders for 2 different spa's. Last year when I made this, I wasn't sure how well it would be received but it was a hit!!! This is a whipped cream soap and it is absolutely luscious!!! I put loads of good stuff in it, and made it to lather really-really well! I put the spoon in it just to show you how thick and creamy it is:
I'm going to keep this unopened one for myself!!!
Well, I've got to get back; I've got so much to do in so little time!!! Sorry I don't have the time to visit with you all right now but, as much as possible, I'll try to keep you posted. And, I'll have pictures of my soap for you as soon as they're ready!
Don't forget, those of you who haven't already done so, I'll be back for the drawing this Friday for the resin pendants; be sure to sign up!!!
I miss you all terribly! But..., I'll be seeing you!
Sorry, I've got to go!

I'M BUSY, BUSY, BUSY!!!
Hi, everyone! Hope all's well and that you're all happy crafters!
I wanted to drop in, say hello, and tell you what I'm up to -- making toiletries!!! My orders have started to come in and I have a good idea of how much I need in supplies, so I'm getting everything together to get started. My hubby is even off picking up denatured alcohol for me for my parfums, body sprays, and linen sprays -- that's his contribution to helping me out! LOL!!! Fortunately, this time of year is perfect for making soap because I make it outside I don't become overwhelmed by the lye fumes and, because it's nippy out, I don't become overheated. That's why I'd never make soap in warmer weather. Today, I finished up most the car deodorizers, now all I have to do is label those. I think the the guys would really like theirs in tucked into those little "mens shoe" boxes I posted a few weeks ago -- remember? Anyway, as everything comes together I'll take pictures to post for you to see!
As this is always a pretty busy time of year for me, and with still having my aunt to tend to, my time here will be "hit and miss" over the next several weeks (at least up until Christmas when all my orders are out); however, I do promise to be around as often as I can. I'll also be keeping up with the resin pendant gift giveaways, so please don't hesitate to keep coming to check on that. I will be here for my design team projects and would appreciate your encouragement and support as always. Which brings me to my DT project over at Sheila's this Thursday, December 2, I have another little project I'll be presenting that I think you'll all like, so I do hope you'll all join me.
I believe I mentioned that toiletries are the only item(s) I make to sell and only at this time of year, so if I don't get to post and/or drop in for a couple of days at a time, you know why.
In the meantime, I may not get an opportunity to post tomorrow, but I will try to get to visit more of you later today -- time permitting.
Until, don't forget to join me on Thursday, stay happy and keep crafting!!!
Love ya! I'll be seeing you!
P.S. I still have to pass on my most recent award to five (5) people -- I haven't forgotten, so I'll do that after I present my project on Thursday!
ANOUNCEMENT ON WHERE TO LEAVE COMMENTS FOR "THANK YOU" RESIN PENDANT GIFTS, AND BLOG AWARDS
Happy, happy Monday!!! It's really is a happy Monday for me, although an extremely busy one. I have so much to do and so little time! LOL!
I'm really finding it difficult to get to everything and everyone, although I'm raring to go!!! With running back and forth between home responsibilities and tending to my aunt, I'm not making a lot of progress. And to boot, I think my aunt is jealous of my crafting!!! It seems she goes out of her way to find things to keep me occupied! Especially if I say "crafting"! What's a girl to do?!!! Anyway, it's going to take me longer than expected to get to you at the rate I'm going right now, so please have just a bit more patience with me. I'm really trying to be here for you all!
Several things to comment on:
Welcome to a new follower!!! I love family! And, I am so happy to have you become a part of mine! Hope to see you often and please make yourself right at home. I'll be around to visit with you as soon as I can, but be forewarned I am a bit backed up right now, so please allow me some time to get to you.
With respect to the "Thank You" resin pendants, you will notice a posting which will remain at the top of my blog page for your comments for the Friday, December 3, drawing. If your comments are not posted by the end of the day (12 PM CT) on Thursday, you will not be eligible for Friday's drawing. This posting will be updated for each week's drawing. For your convenience, you can actually post at any time on any day, as long as your comments are posted by the deadline.
Also, I have blog awards that have been pending my posting and which I'd love to acknowledge at this time:

As this is the first time I've received this award I will be passing it on to five (5) other bloggers. However, I must first consider who they will be (such a diffiicult decsion)! So, once I get this all figured out, I'll be back to those who will be receiving this award and the three (3) things which gives my blog attitude.
Again, thank you to all you wonderful ladies, and I hope everyone who visits with me will click on your names to visit and admire your gorgeous creations!!!

WHAT EVER HAPPENED TO "AN APPLE A DAY..."?
Happy Tuesday, all!
I wanted to sneak in to give you an update on my doctor visit before I got busy playing! Well I didn't get away from her office without being prescibed antibiotics for the next ten (10) days!!! Apparently, I have an inner-ear infection possibly due to cold settling in my ear -- and my glands were swollen!!! I'm not surprised, knew she'd find something to medicate me for -- lol!!! All the fruit I eat and all the apples!!! Well, that apple a day theory can just get tossed out the window!!! LOL!
Seriously, I'm glad the DH made me go before it had gotten any worse! For all my brave front, it really did hurt! As much as I hate going to my doctor, it always ends up being the best thing I could have done for myself. Why is it we let ourselves be tortured until the last minute before we go for help?!!! Ummmm....
As I've been making my visiting "rounds", I've run across so many blogging friends who are not feeling well lately -- is something going around?!!! LOL! Anyway, if you're one of my friends who's been feeling "under the weather" I really wish you a speedy recovery because I know it's not fun, and I really don't like to think of anyone feeling anything but wonderful -- so, those of you who are not feeling well, I wish and pray you have a speedy recovery!
On the way home, I stopped to do some craft shopping to replenish some of the things I've run low on and spent almost 3 hours in Michaels. After so much time there browsing, I was a bit disappointed because our closest Michaels is never very well stocked and I really didn't get all I wanted. Had I felt better, I would have driven to the suburbs; however, I did manage to pick up a couple of interesting items. One is Mold and Pour by Suze Weinburg, and I found some black and white Enamel Accents by Inkssentials which is new to me. As I'm getting more into playing with Utee and Resin, I can't wait to see what I can come up with playing with these -- I've never used either before! So, I'm off now to play and, if I come up with something clever and creative, I'll bring it along with me when I come back!!!

UPDATE!
Hello, friends! Hope all's well!!!
Wow, life certainly seems to just keep getting in the way!!!
I thought I'd jump in here to let you know I'm not delinquent -- again -- but slightly delayed! As it appeared to me my old Expression might have been dying on me, I went out to purchase a new one. I've done all the DS font and firmware updating on the new Expression; however, I am still in the process of reinstalling and updating my Gypsy. I did run into a slight problem with the version of Microsoft Frame.net istalled on my computer and had to call Provocraft for some help there. I just got off the phone with them and now I'm keeping my fingers crossed everythings installs and runs perfectly!
I thought I'd let you know what was going on, and to let you know I'll be seeing you shortly!

STILL BUSY!
Hello, everyone! Happy Monday and I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
Between chores I've been working at dropping in to visit with you but I just wanted to pop in here to say hello and let you know I'm thinking of you; particularly to those of you I haven't gotten around to yet. I'm still quite busy running around doing errands and tending to home/family matters but hoping things calm down very soon. It's time time of year for change and I'm all caught up in it!!! Iget manage to get started on a couple of projects; unfortunately, didn't get an opportunity to complete one of them to share with you today.
I also notice I have a new follower. Hi, MsDebbie and welcome, and thank you for dropping by and for commenting!!! Please make yourself at home and come as often as you like!!! I love company!!! I love lots of friends! And, of course, I'll be dropping in on you too.
Well, guys, that's it for the moment. After I get home tomorrow, I hope to be able to complete one of the projects I'm working on to share with you. Until then, have a wonderful evening and...

WHERE AM I? WHAT AM I DOING!
Hello, all! Hope you're all doing well!
As for me -- I could KICK myself!!! LOL!!! We just had new window blinds installed and I was looking at the walls in my family room and realized the wallpaper border which I hadn't thought to check before the blinds were installed didn't go with the new blinds -- they clashed!!! So, I knew I had to remove it -- immediately (why didn't I consider this before the blinds were put up anyway?! Where in the heck was my mind?!!!). Anyway I run to my computer and look up removing wallpaper tips and calling friends. Following all the suggestions, this is still one big headache!!!! Who SAID this was easy?!!! You wet the stuff down, pull away a few strips of paper and then you've got to get the glue off the walls -- you wet it down, pull away a few strips of paper and then you've got to get the glue off the wall -- and on it goes!!! I used steam, vinegar, sprayed it with water and so on; this is NOT EASY!!! LOL!!!
Fortunately, I am almost done and suffix it to say, I'll never ever in my life use wallpaper again!!! I do have to laugh though because I can only imagine what I must look like with bits of wallpaper on my face, in my hair, and water and bits of paper stuck to everything!!! I guess it's best I be amused about it than just totally disgusted, huh?!!! LOL!
Here's all what's left for me to do:
Just this strip,
Overall, despite what I've gotten myself into, I have had a chance to sneak in and enjoy visiting most of you between this chore; and I have worked "at" a few projects which I hope to have ready to share with you tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll have all this paper off my walls by this evening! Thank God, we had the walls painted before the paper went up and because it's glossy paint it's washing down very nicely and we won't have to repaint.
Oh yea, where's the hubby while I'm doing this -- he's disappeared of course!!! LOL!!! Isn't he smart?!!! LOL! It's work and he's retired -- LOL!!!
Well, just wanted to pop into say hello and that I haven't forgotten you!!!
Wish me luck!!!
Hugs!

and then behind the blinds because, like I said, I didn't even consider them before the blinds were installed. I guess I'd gotten so used to them... duh!!!:
See it up there?!!! How gross!!! And I've got to get behind there to get that stuff down!!! And, yes, the walls in my family room are lavendar and purple (or wine, something like that)!!! LOL! And I picked those blinds because my furniture is cream and shades of blue which are the colors in the blinds.
Anyway, I love how they look in my living room:
and on the sun porch (aka, our little breakfast nook and Buster's toy/play room):
OMG, I forgot I'd added a strip of wall paper to that lampshade!!! LOL! Gotta get that off of there too!

THANK YOU!
Hello, all my wonderful friends! I hope you're all well.
I would like to thank all of you that responded to my post on yesterday. I hope I didn't alarm anyone because I'm actually fine, only going through what I think are some hormonal changes -- LOL!!!
I do, however, want you to know I appreciate you all being there for me, and offering your warm and soothing comments. I feel so very honored to have such friends far and near -- who are friends -- though I've never met many of you. It meant so much to me to read your words and take comfort in them.
Thank you!

HAPPY TO BE CRAFTING!!! BUT I HAVE AN APOLOGY.
Hello, everyone!
And what a great Saturday for me because I've started crafting!!! But I do have an apology to make. I received a comment from my blogging friend, Queen Pam, asking to see the shirts I completed for my son. Unfortunately, my son picked the shirts up several hours before I read the comment from Queen Pam. So, at this time, I would like to offer an apology because I'm always boasting about how I love to share and yet I didn't even consider the shirts as something to share. Now that it's been brought to my attention they were, I can only say this was a "JOB" for me and nothing I took any pleasure from; therefore, it never occurred to me or crossed my mind to post not even one of the shirts. My focus was on getting them done so I could get something fun for me -- crafting! And, neither did I think to consider anyone would want to see them. Although there was nothing particurly interesting about them, just plain white shirts with the name of their lodge and the member's name on them, I really should have thought you might like to see them and I'm sorry I didn't.
HOWEVER, because Queen Pam did show an interest in seeing my embroidery "work" by requesting to see the shirts, and because I didn't have the sense of mind to show them, what I will do is a small personalized embroidery project for her and post it here. (Queen Pam, I will comment on your blog when I have your project completed and posted. Your name "Queen Pam" will be embroidered on the project and, if you like it and don't mind sending me your mailing address, I will mail it to you.)
The project for Queen Pam will serve, at least, as a project allowing you all to see my embroidery and as gratitude to her for making me realize my embroidery is still a craft regardless how I feel about a particular embroidery project. I would like to say, in my defense, I do love my embroidery but I enjoy it more when I'm working on projects that are fun to me -- this wasn't and, honestly, I'm glad I'm done with them!
Agan, my apologies to all of you for my oversight and failure to post the shirts. If Queen Pam hadn't asked, I would never have given it another thought. I wished she'd asked sooner. Hopefully, I won't make the mistake of not thinking and/or making an assumption to share something with you again.
Now I'm off to finish a project!!! I'll be back later to post!

STAY TUNED!!! I'M GONNA BE ON A ROLL!!!
Hello, everyone!!! Hope all's well!!! Wanted to drop in to say hello and...
Can you believe as of now I have completed 23 shirts?!!! So far only had 1 other problem with the threads burring under the plate and now I have only 9 more to go!!! I'm feeling much more confident that they'll be done waaaay before Saturday evening (so is my son); actually I'm hoping, and praying, to finish them tonight!!! Please keep your fingers crossed for me.
Does it seem like I'm in a hurry? Yes, I am!!! Why? First of all, as of right now I don't care if I ever embroider anything again in my life -- this is becoming monotonous and I'm sick of it!!! LOL!!! Second, since my darling son had me digging through boxes for the threads to begin this "project" I remembered I had some old things in shoeboxes at the bottom of several material boxes, so I decided to dig down in the boxes to find them. (Yes, I keep materials and threads, and other miscellaneous sewing supplies in large boxes and store them in the basement storage room because I don't have anywhere else to put them! I kind of went crazy buying a whole bunch of stuff when I got my first machine) Anyway, here are just a few of the treasures I managed to find as a result of my search:

Here are a few closer views:
And there's more, all kinds of stuff!!! Because I haven't did any sewing since last year, I just didn't think about this stuff and when I did run across it my mind was just too occupied to think "CRAFTING"! I think finding this stash is the only thing I appreciate about my son asking me to do this "project" -- LOL!!! -- because instead of using it for sewing projects, I definitely see crafting projects!!! My mind is absolutely spinning and I'm so excited I can hardly wait to get started. I have all these wonderful ideas working in my head just looking at these.
Most of this I didn't buy, of course. I was stuff that belonged to my grandmother who was an excellent seamtress, and all this would have been tossed had it not been for the fact I did like to do some sewing and thought I could use this stuff, but like I said I really didn't see it to give it any thought at the time as craft materials --- where in the world was my head?!!! As soon as I pulled this stuff out, bells started going off in my head! If my mom had tossed this stuff then, I probably wouldn't have missed it as I probably wouldn't have thought about it anymore; but I'm so glad now I kept what my mother referred to as junk!!! (Nope, my mom didn't sew and she wasn't crafty.) Ahhhh, well this "junk" sure looks like sweet treasures to me right now!
Stay tuned to see what these will become!!! I don't even know yet and I can't wait! And, I've got to search for the rest!!!
P.S. I think this will be one of those nights I won't get a wink of sleep -- LOL!!!
I'll be seeing you!
