A GIFT FOR A FRIEND!

I'm back again!  I can't believe it!  I've posted more today and have spent most of the day out!

Anyway, I've just finished a gift for one of my BFF's.  This person says she just loves to dance but although I've known her -- along with others -- for more than 20 years, none of us have ever seen her dance (?????).  Yet she boasts about her dancing skills all the time.  If we ask her to dance, she always has some excuse:  she's not ready, she doesn't like the music selection, her feet hurt, she can only dance with her husband, and the list goes on.  We've all asked her hubby and all he does is give us this silly grin as a response.  I guess she has him pretty well trained, huh?

Well, I don't know if she can dance or not, but I made her this "just because" gift and thought this would be  appropriate for her:

It reads: "Dance as if there's no one watching".

As soon as I saw the three (3) stamps used for this, I knew I wanted them to do this project just for her!!!

The wooden frame I found at a flea market a long time ago and ran across recently, the plastic frame cover was one I'd lost the white cardboard box inside to (you know, the cheap ones you find almost anywhere), and the papers were all scraps I dug out of a scrap drawer; so I didn't waste anything on this project and, except for the cost of the stamps, it didn't cost me anything.  What could be better than a gift for someone than one that cost you barely anything.  Yep!!!  It's junk and I hope she likes it!!!  LOL!

Sorry, if the picture looks so "orange" but I think that's a combination of the paper used, the paint, and the lighting.

I'll be seeing you!

You are too generous Audrey. When ever you get time, I so appreciate you sharing with me.

Everett pointed out the prius to me, I thought it was the whole thing, but if you look over to the right, you can see it (kind of) I see the wheels but no top, Everett said they did it in February, he said you could really see it then. I am hoping they re-do it so I can see it better. The orange flowers on the left are CA poppy.

Hi, just found your blog and love the picture you made for your friend - it's great! You mention three stamps you used in its creation can you tell me where I could purchase them if its not too much trouble. I have a friend that loves to watch So You Think You can Dance -- we even went to see them when they went on tour. I'd like to make something like this for her too. Thanks
