THE NEW DESIGN TEMPLATES!!!

Good evening, friends!!!  So, have you all noticed the new design templates label at the top of your blogs?  I just went through some of the previews and I really liked several of them.  However, I also went to Blogger Help and found quite a few people have used the templates and run into problems already.

Of course, Google Blogger has not pubished directions and/or instructions; therefore, if you use these templates you have to wait "heaven-only-knows" how long before you get a response in the event something goes wrong.  And, even then, the response is from someone who may or may not have a corrective response.  So, not being very Google Blogger savvy, I opt to wait and see how it goes with others using the templates and getting all the kinks out the way (as far as the "Help" publications).

Oh, not to mention (?), if you did save your old templates, loaded and had a problem with the new ones, how can you reinstall your old saved template which don't exist anymore?  The old templates aren't available anymore!

Now, on the other hand, if Google Blogger had a "live" person or someone who would respond to an email promptly, I might be tempted to try knowing help was within prompt reach.  Under the circumstances, you're left at your own mercy.  I think that's the only thing I dislike about Google Blogger -- you're pretty much on your own when you encounter a problem that hasn't already occurred for the resolution to already have been published.  They really don't give you anything until they've resolved the problem -- you're just left in the dark until then!

After this last go-round with Google Blogger and they didn't even have the courtesy to tell thousands of people what was going on, approximately how long before the problem was resolved or any other information for that matter, I hope to not encounter any more problems -- least create one on my own by loading any one of these templates regardless of whether I see a few I like or not!

Well, that's my view!  Let me know what you think!  Are you brave?!!!  If so, let me know how it went for you!!!  I'm really curious!

PS:  Can you tell I'm still peeved about my last downtime?  AND, it was a result of Google Blogger preparing for these new templates!!!  I looked into paying for my own blog (.com or .org) and found out as long as I was using Blogger servers, I'd still be subject toGoogle Bloggers downtime AND I'd lose my rating!!!  Go figure!

Apparently a lot of new poles. lol I hope you have a wonderful week end my friend.

I was in the middle of doing some things and all the sudden it changed! *LOL* I am not going to be changing my template anytime soon. So much of my design was imported and isn't part of blogger's stuff, and I don't feel the need to re-do anything, at least not yet. I am glad they are providing some new variety for everyone though! I think it will be great once things are up and running!

I couldn't find my dashboard this morning! These changes always mess me up :) I am not much a fan of the Blogger templates/features, so I always grab a free template from elsewhere!

I saw them and I like you am staying away.... I love my blog and am afraid to mess it up as I have everything filed and can find easily so I'm not touching! Good advise Audrey!

Hey Audrey, I was just looking at the new "design" a few mins ago. I was a little hesitant to jump in and start changing things. After reading what you wrote, I am glad I didn't jump in!

I tried checkin' it out but most said they were unavailable. Then.....I noticed that my "Customize" has been replaced w/ "Design".

Is yours the same?? If I want to edit my post(s), I have to now go into "New Post", instead of the old way, "Customize".

A li'l bit frustrating, to say it mildly.
