HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE! AND RESIN PENDANT WINNERS!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL MY BEAUTIFUL FAMILY-FRIENDS!!!

Hello, everyone!!!  And a very happy New Year's eve to you all!!!

I thought when I'd completed my project I'd have more time for posting, however, with so many relatives in Chicago for the holiday season, I've found myself doing more running back  and forth than I'd even imagined.  AND because I drive, more transporting relatives back and forth!!!  Although it's all so wearing, I'm really enjoying myself and all the families -- but I've been really missing you!

I  apologize for not getting to and giving the resin pendant drawings as much attention as I'd hoped to too and this is the last drawing!  After our big family New Year's celebration tonight, our families will all be either gone and/or leaving for their homes on Monday;  I promise to be back on a more regular basis by then.

In the meantime, I have the winning generated numbers for the drawing:

Congratulations, numbers 10 and 27, which are the comment orders of mforquor of "Melissa Made"  Blogspot and Helen of "A Taste of DC" Blogspot.  Congratulations ladies!!!  And congratulationas to all the ladies that have won!!!  Please email me your pendant photo or word(s) to audreyfrel@sbcglobal.net.com

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for participating!  To those of you who have not yet submitted your pendant information, I will need it no later than Friday, January 7, 2011.  I will begin completing the pendants next weekend to have out in the mail the following week!!!

Well, I'm getting ready for our New Year's celebration, so I'll off,  but before I go I wish you all a very wonderful New Year's filled with all the blessings, hopes, wishes and dreams you deserve!!!  May you bring in the New Year with joy, love and laughter!!!

Hugs!

FREE AT LAST, FREE AT LAST!!! AND, RESIN PENDANT DRAWING!!!

Hello, everyone!!!  And, happy holiday season to you all!!!  I've missed you so very muuch!

I've finally got through all my orders.  Actually, I was done on Sunday, but I spent this week getting my house back in order and preparing for the holiday with my family.  Of course, I had to get out here this week and sort through "last minute" items to find decent gifts but I managed to get everyone taken care of.  My only regret is that I didn't get the opportunity to get cards completed and out like I'd wanted to.

This was a very hectic month for me, I took on more than I could actually handle, and ran into all sorts of difficulties -- I'm so glad this is over, and I don't think I'll do it again next year.  My hubby commented that for all the soap taken out of this house, not one bar would have my name on it.  He's right!  I make it, he cuts it, we plastic wrap it, and then it all goes out to get packaged with someone else's name on it.  But,...  as my nephew says "dems the breaks"!!!  LOL!

I am so happy to be able to get back to blogging and look so forward to visiting and seeing what you've all been up to!!!

In the meantime, I have the winning draws for the resin pendants:

In the order of comments, these numbers correspond to:  Barb of Barbs Boys and
Terry Oulboub.  Congratulations, ladies!

Please email me the information for your resin pendants at:  audreyfrel@sbcglobal.net

I am still waiting for emails from:  Wendy of Kingston Kreations, Amber of Staying Crafty, and BridgetL.  I need your photo or desired wording by December 30.  Please make certain to get it to me.

Well I'm off to do some "little" last minute things before tomorrow but I'll be to visit for a while!  I'll be back next week to do all my catching up on all I've missed.

I'd like to say thank you to those of you who sent me cards and who so faithfully commented, visited, and kept up with me these past few weeks.  I so very much appreciated it!  Of all I was doing, I did not feel forgotten and neglected, eventhough I couldn't get back to you; that means so very much to me!

Now before I get out of here, please remember to comment for your resin pendants for the drawing on Friday, December 31; good luck!!!

Have a wonderfully Merry Christmas and you'll all be with me in my thought, prayers, and throughout my holiday.

Love ya!

"GAME TIME" WINNER!!!

Hello, all!  I guess you thought I'd deserted you, huh?  Well, I didn't.  Unfortunately, I've been unable to get to posting and/or my crafting because I was commissioned by my son and his lodge brothers and sisters to embroider some shirts for an upcoming event they're sponsoring.  It seems the person who was supposed to sew/embroider handmade shirts for them had a situation and couldn't do them.  So, of course, my son pleaded with me.  Of course they won't be handmade shirts as they were to have been (I wish I were that good at sewing); we had to run around to  find suitable shirts in the appropriate sizes for everyone so I would only have to embroider their names on them as well as the name of their lodge.  I really don't want this assignment, I'd rather be crafting, but my son and his friends really needed my help and well... what's a mother to do?!!!  Anyway, I'm stuck with having 31 shirts to complete by Saturday night and so far I've only done 13.  And, wouldn't you know, I've messed up 3 already with burrs.  I think we got 7 extras so I hope I don't keep having this problem.  The upside of doing this though is now I won't have to bother asking the DH for money to have my car tuned up -- LOL!

Also, I wanted to say "Wow", you guys have certainly been busy!!!  I have been sneaking in and out visiting with as many of you as I've been able to and leaving comments, but being so far behind already it's really difficult catching up particularly as no sooner than I've visited you you already have another project(s) posted.  I've browsed to see a lot of work without leaving comments on everything because it's so time consuming and I'm still trying to work my way around between embroideries; but please know that I've been to see most of you, and I'm trying to work my way around to the few I have not visited yet.  Hopefully, I'll have these shirts done sooner to later, so I can get back to my crafting and have a project to post soon (I have an idea in mind I can't wait to start on).

Anyway, we do have a winner for the game contest.  First, I'd like to thank those of you who played with me, I always enjoy making you work -- LOL! Ohhh, I'm only kidding!

The hubby and I vacationed in Las Vegas and California -- by the way -- I won about $350 on the penny and nickel slot machines.  I've only played the slots several times before and I'm not a gambler or an enthusiast (I'll have to ask Sandy about getting hooked); I usually only play to pass the time and keep cool, but I did get extremely excited because it's the first time I've ever won!  No, of course, I didn't loose it back!!!  I kept every nickel and penny of it!!!  LOL!  For the 3 people who mentioned one or the other of our vacation spots (in this order):
  1. Treefrog of Binky Blossoms- Las Vegas
  2. Beatriz of Amazing Grace - California
  3. Jean of Jean's Craft Corner - California
And by random generator the winner was number 3:

Jean, congratulations!!!  You've won the Best Occassions Quick Page paper pack:

Jean, please leave a comment with a mailing address for me to send out your prize (your comment will not be publicly posted).

Well guys, thank you all for your patience with me here.  I'll be dropping in on you periodically as I can until this "job" is completed and then I'll be back to you as soon as I can.  Please wish me luck with getting these shirts done!  I'm going to need it and a lot more because I'm already getting frustrated -- LOL!

Love you all!

GAME CLOSED!!! WE HAVE A WINNER!!! GAME TIME RE-OPENED - PLEASE CHECK POST COMMENTS FOR MY RESPONSES/COMMENTS!

Wow!!!  Talk about fast -- I have the smartest followers in the neighborhood!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Camille, came in the winner at 3:47 p.m. correctly answering the five questions.
Camille, you have won the album rak along with 5 sets/pks. of crystal stickers included as the add-on rak. If you could please leave me an email on the message board with your snail maill address, I will get your prize out to you in the mail!!!  You can find me under the name Audrey Frelix.  Otherwise, you can post your snail mail address here on this comment and I will not publish it (it will be keep private).  Just let me know how you leave the information.

Again, congrats, and thanks so much for playing with me.  I'll look for you at the next game-time!!!

The correct answers are:
  1. Either husband/wife  relationship between the 4 persons are acceptable answers:  the policeman is married to the farmers daughter or the policeman's sister is married to the farmer.
  2. There are 15 houses on the block.
  3. The 6-letter word that uses the four letters L-O-V-E is "evolve".
  4. Rearranging the letters in the word new door to make one word: "One Word"
  5. The numbers 11, 69, and 88 read the same upside down.
Robin, you were so close also.  Unfortunately,  a father and son relationship would mean they'd both be compensated from the lottery prize individually as they are not a couple.  Therefore, that was not a correct answer.  Sorry!  But there's always the next game, so I hope to see you then!

As the bonus question was not answered, it will not be announced but contributed to the next game-time!!!

Thank you all for playing, I hope you had fun!!!  As always, be on the lookout!!!  It could be a week, a day, or an hour before I give warning prior to posting the next game!!!

Have a great day all!!!  And, I'll be seeing you!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good Sunday afternoon, all my friends!  Hope your are all well, and that you had a wonderful weekend and heading for an equally as wonderful well!!!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!!!  DUE TO PLAYER ERROR, NEW RULES APPLY!!!

A SURPRISE NEW ITEM WILL BE ADDED TO THIS RAK!!!

Unfortunately, our potential winner was not a follower which disqualifies her from winning the rak -- I am so sorry!  However, as she is now a new follower, -- welcome -- she is now eligible to continue in the next game.  Please let me take a moment to reiterate, if you are a visitor and would like to participate in  the game-times, you must be a follower to win the rak.

This unfortunate error does regrettably change the course of the game rules.  As I mentioned in the previous updated game-time post, that if this were the case, consideration and credit will be given to all the previous participants/followers.

Also, as this continues a new game, there will be an additional item added to the rak.

RULES:
  1. Previous players/followers, you will have only three (3) questions to answer correctly in the set of five questions.  For you, these questions will be the three (3) questions in red print.
  2. To all new players/followers who did not participate in the previous game, again, you must be a follower; you must answer all five (5) new questions correctly.
  3. To receive the addtional rak for the bonus question, all questions (as noted above on #1 and #2) must be answered correctly.
  4. The first correct anwers to the questions will receive the rak.  However, in order to receive the bonus rak, you must have correct answers to all questions pertaining to you (as noted above), and the correct answer to the rak.
  5. If you get the correct answer to the bonus question, but miss a correct response to another question, you will forfeit both raks.
  6. Deadline is 12 noon (CT) on Tuesday, May 4.  Game will be closed after this time and no other entries will be recognized.
  7. You must post your comments on this post.
The new added rak item and surprise rak will be announced once I have all the correct answers.  Again, the surprise rak will not be included with the question rak unless it is answered along with all questions -- correctly answered.  In other words, if you answer the questions correctly, but miss the bonus question, you will only receive the question rak only; or, if you answer the bonus question correctly, but miss any of the correct answers to the additional questions, you forfeit the question and bonus raks.

Here are your questions:

  1. A farmer and his daughter, and a  policeman and his sister, won the lottery.  They equally divided the prize amount into 3 parts among them.  How could they do this?
  2. Megan's house is the 10th one from the end of the block and the 6th one from the other end.  How many houses are on the block?
  3. What is a 6-letter word that uses only the following letters four (4) letter:  L-O-V-E?
  4. Rearrange the letters in the words "new door" to make one word.
  5. What do the numbers 11, 69, and 88 all have in common?
Bonus:  What is a five letter word being weird, messed up or used?

If no one answers all five questions/bonus question correctly by the time designated, one question will be removed and replaced with another question, and another time designation given, then the game will continue as outlined above.

If it is necessary for a game to be continued, another small rak will be added to the quesion rak. If necessary, there will be only one (1) continued game after this one with any details noted.   If no one wins the rak by the end-time, the rak will go towards the next game time. So, get your thinking caps on!!!

Good luck!!!  Have fun!

GAME CLOSED!!! -WE HAVE A POSSIBLE WINNER - CHECK MY POST COMMENTS FOR MY COMMENTS

POSTED:  SUNDAY, MAY 5,  9:55 AM - GAME CLOSED:

Good Sunday morning, everyone!!!  I hope you've all enjoyed the NSD weekend!

At this time the game is CLOSED.  We do have a potential winner!!!  All the questions have been correctly answered including the bonus question!!!  However, she/he has responded anonymously and until I can confirm the game participant is a follower (as subjuect to the rules),  I will not reveal the bonus rak at this time and this is not considered a forml announcement.  Confirmation will be pending until this requirement is established.  I will be contacting the participant via email today to confirm, and I will let you all know.

The correct answers are:
  1. There is no score before the game, therefore, the answer is zero (0)
  2. Wrong is always pronounced wrong, no matter how you pronounce it.
  3. A hole was put in the barrel
  4. A "T" is the difference between here and there
  5. The day after Wednesday is Thursday  (this is the question everyone had the problem with)
Bonus:  Five (5) letter word for a  female demon is a Lamia (or any 5-letter word meaning female demon
                 would have been accepted).

Again, I will be getting back to you as soon as the potential winner's status is confirmed. And, if this proves to not be the case, all current players will be given credit for their correct responses in the new game, and if this is necessary, I will provide detail at that time.

In the meantime, thank you all so much for playing with me.  I hope you had fun and will return for more fun and games!

I'll be seeing you!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi, guys!  I hope you've all been paying attention to my little warnings because it's now GAME time, and you've got to be present to win!!!

Now, as I recall, the last game, which was a version of "Hangman", was too simple and completed within minutes of it being posted, so I'm hoping to make this one a bit more of a challenge.

For this game, you'll have to be a follower, and respond by comment to this post only. The following  are the quizz questions you must answer:
  1. How does Jerry always guess the score of his brother's soccer game befor the game begins?
  2. What 5-letter word, no matter how you pronounce it, is always pronounced wrong?
  3. A man takes a barrel that weighs 50 pounds and puts something in it.  It now weighs less than 50 pounds.  What did he put in the barrel?
  4. What's the difference between "here" and "there"?
  5. When the day after tomorrow is yesterday, today will be as far from Wednesday as today was from Wednesday when the day before yesterday was tomorrow.  What is the day after this day?
  • Bonus Question:  What is a 5- letter word for a female demon?
All five (5) questions must be correctly answered by 12 noon (CT) on Sunday, May 1.  The first response received with the correct answers to the questions will receive the 24-page Mini Album below which you can decorate and embellish as you wish:

Regarding the bonus question:  If the first set of 5 questions are all answered correctly and include the correct answer to the bonus question, there will be a surprise rak included along with the album.  This surprise rak will be announced once I have all the correct answers.   The surprise rak will not be included with the album unless it is answered correctly along with correct answers to all five questions.  In other words, if you answer the five (5) questions correctly, but miss the bonus question, you will only receive the album; or, if you answer the bonus question correctly, but miss any of the correct answers to the addition five (5) questions, you forfeit the album and surprise rak.  The surprise rak bonus question must be answered correctly with all five questions also answered correctly.

If no one answers all five questions/bonus question correctly by the time designated, one question will be removed and replaced with another question, and another time designation given, then the game will continue as outlined above.  This will continue until a set of five (5) questions have been answered correctly.  If it is necessary for a game to be continued, another small rak will be added to the album.  There will be a maximum of 3 games.  If no one wins the rak by the end-time, the rak will go towards the next game time.  So, get your thinking caps on!!!

Have fun (?)!!!   LOL!!!   GOOD LUCK!!!

IT'S CONTEST GAME TIME!!! -- WIN BLOG CANDY!

GAME CLOSED!  THERE IS A WINNER!
GAME WINNER ANNOUNCEMENT POST REMOVED DUE TO ERROR ON POST!!!

Happy weekend!!! I wish you a happy and crafty weekend!   I hope you were watching my blog closesly because I'm pulling another "lil" something out of my sleeve!  It's time for the next fun contest game!!!  Are you ready?...

At the bottom of my blog page, you will find a game very similar to "Kill the Butcher".  Click on it and the game will take you to the game site and start shortly.  To this game I have added eight words I have noted but that you must figure out.  The first person to leave me a post with all eight (8) correct words will automatically win.  However, if the game is still ongoing by the deadline, the candy will go to the person with the most correct answers at that time.

TO PLAY: Count the number of blank lines to determine how many letters are in the word; click on a letter of the alphabet to select it and continue until you get the right word; or until you select too many of the wrong letters and grandma gets captured by the alien.  NOTE:  The game  will not enter an incorrect selected letter on the blank line space and you'll need to make another selection.  When you click a correct letter it will be placed automatically in the position in which the word is spelled and will let you know when you have a correctly spelled word, and move on to the next.  Please remember to note/list your correct words -- you don't want to forget them!!!

RULES:   1)  Must be a follower -- NEW FOLLOWERS ARE ELIGIBLE TO PLAY -- and 2) must provide an address where your candy will be sent.  That's it!!!

DEADLINE:  Game will end at 5 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, March 20

Below is a picture of the blog candy which includes a flag book that I made for you, with additional matching papers you can use to decorate it and a set of birthday rub-ons.  I have left the cover and all the pages blank for you to design as you desire.  I have also pictured the flag book open.

You can click to enlarge the photos.

Have fun and enjoy!!!

I'll be seeing you!

RAK WINNER!!!

Happy Monday, everyone!!!  I do hope you are all starting your week out on your "good" foot!

We do have a contest winner!!!  Congratulations to Leirad of http://leiradcardmakingcorner.blogspot.com/
Leirad came on with the correct answer at 7: 53 on Sunday evening, March 7.  Leirad, I hope you enjoy your compact, and if you decide to decorate it, please let me see what you've done with it.

I am also sending a runner-up consolation prize, to Melissa of http://playingwithpaper.blogspot.com/ who also provided the correct answer at 8:29 p.m.  Melissa, I'll be sending you a purchased mini notebook/pen set (yes, you'll be able to decorate it yourself).

The question to the riddle was "...what happened to the other dollar?"  The "clear and specific" answer I was looking for that Leirad and Melissa provided was "there was no other dollar".

Miller6 who logged in at 11:39 am. on today's date provided an accurate and detailed explanation, and it was the only one which included the fact that the "other dollar" would have made the initial cost of the room $31.  However, .Miller6 did admit to cheating by finding the answer on the internet (clever-clever but naughty-naughty).  But, thanks for hopefully making it clear to everyone.

Leirad and Shari, please email me an address where I can send your prizes.  You can leave just your address in a comment under this post comment (I will not publish them), or you can go to the mb and leave it for me there.  Again, congratulations!!!

Thank you all for playing with me; I hope you had fun, I sure did.  Now, keep watching because I'm not done yet... more to come!!!  You just don't know when...

I'll be seeing you1

RAK DETAILS AND DEADLINE

Happy Sunday, friends, I've had a wonderful day and I'm back home now with the details for my RAK  I hope you all had a wonderful day, so far.  So are you ready?  Now, first, keep in mind that math is an absolute science -- right?  Okay, here we go, what you have to do is leave me a comment with your answer to this riddle:

Three (3) guys went on a fishing trip and decided it would be more economical to share the expense of the lodging for the night as they were all men.  When they got to the lodge, the desk clerk informed them the rate was $30 a night for their room, so they each paid $10 -- with me so far?!

Okay!  Now here's the riddle:

Shortly after the men left the desk clerk for their room, the desk clerk discovered he had made an error.  He should have only charged them $25 a night for the room they received, so he sent the bellhop to return the additional $5.  When the bellhop handed them the $5 and it was determined they could not equally divide $5 among the 3 of them, they each took $1 and gave the bellhop the other $2 as a tip.  Now instead of paying $10 each for the room (each having kept $1 of the returned $5), they ended up having paid only $9 each.
You can see that, right?  So..., the 3 men having ending up paying $9 each totals $27 plus the $2 they returned to the bellhop as a tip is only $29.  Now if  they started off paying $30 for the room, what happened to the other $1?  They did initially did pay $30 for their room, remember?  And it is true that the corrected $25 for the room plus the $5 overcharge that was returned does equal $30.  Where is that $1?

Okay, leave me your answer in the post comment, and the first person with the correct answer wins.  You will have until 1 p.m (CT) on Tuesday, March 9, to resolve the riddle and have your response in.  If the correct answer is not posted by the deadline, the person with the closest answer that is correct will win.

I hope you have fun with this one!  And, I'll be seeing you!

RAK REVEALED!!!

Gooood Sunday morning, all!!!!  I hope when get up (if you're not already), your day starts out and continues to be a glorius one!

It's after 12 a.m which makes it Sunday morning, so I'm going to go ahead and reveal what many of you have been trying to figure out for the last few days.  Besides you're killing me... heee-heee ... with your guesses!  I can't take it anymore!  My sides hurt from laughing and I too am anxious to know what you think of it (besides I'll probably be in church in the morning), so...

It's a compact mirror, with a facial puff in a built-in pocket, for your purse (don't forget I told you whomever wins this can decorate it to their liking).

Sorry if the picture didn't come out too well, it's really hard to take a picture of a mirror.  Anyway, I hope you like it!  I'll give the details sometime tomorrow on what you need to do to win it and the date the result needs to be in.  And believe me, the fun still continues...

I'll be seeing you!

IS EVERYBODY READY FOR THE BIG REVEAL?!!!

Hi there!  Wow, have I had a great day!!!  I hope you have too!  I did a little craft shopping today and that always makes me happy.  I also did some blog hopping and some crafting!!!

Ahhhh, I see new followers, so I'd like to say hello and thanks for visiting, and don't be strangers!  If you'd like to participate in my little game going, just go to Post and leave me a comment.

Okay then, moving on...  it seems no one has correctly guessed what my game RAK is!  So, I guess you're all ready for me to let you out of the dark, huh?  Okay, let me know!  Just kidding!  Actually I'm thinking I "might" let you know tomorrow; would you like that?  Of course, that means you have to do something to win the project; in which case I'll have to let you know that too!   I think finally knowing will be a nice way to end the weekend!  So, maybe... we'll see!

Have a great evening, and I'll be seeing you!

SOMETHING UP MY SLEEVE UPDATE! SNEAK PEAK!

Hello, all my friends.  I've been in and out all day running this errand and that, but I did manage to do some visiting.  I hope I found you all well!

Well, I'm getting ready to lead you up to what I hope is an exciting time here at "cuteandsome", and what I'm getting ready to show you is just a peep at what you can win.  Noooo, it's not a calendar!  It's not a tiny book of any sort!  And, NO, it's not a notepad cover or one of those little "jot it' pad covers!  Wrong again!  It's not a wallet!  Nope, not a picture frame! Actually, I think you'll be very pleasantly surprised when you find out what it really is -- I'm sure you'll never-ever guess! But, if you do, you'll automatically win it!!!  If you want to take a chance by guessing, leave it in this comment post   If not, you'll have to wait until I give the details for you to win it!  Take you're pick!  I will tell you this, I've left it plain so that you can decorate it, and I made it from a really nice soft velvety wine-color  paper, and it fastens with velcro.  Got you going, huh?

Well, here's your sneak peek (having fun yet?)...

Think you can figure out what it is?  If you THINK so, then on your mark; get ready, set, and GOOOOOOO!!!!!  But, be on the lookout because you don't know when I'm going to be ready to go!!!

I'll be seeing you!

Something's Up My Sleeve!!! I Did Warn You!

Hi, guys!  Just had to "pop" in to remind you -- I told you I had some things up my sleeve, so keep on the look-out because I'm going to be rolling my sleeves up real soon now!!!

I'll be seeing you!
