WELCOME!

WELCOME!

Hello everyone! I am thrilled to have you visit with me and I hope you enjoy your stay. I absolutely love company, sharing, and making new friends so I hope you find something here that inspires, motivates, or just pleases you in some way.

Of course, I love to visit and be inspired also. So if I don't already drop in on you, please let me know where I can find you and I'll hop on over to see what you're doing or to just say "hi".

Before you go, I would love it if you'd please leave me a comment letting me know you dropped in! Actually, I'd just love to hear from you -- comments, opinions, or questions you'd like me to answer.

In the meantime, relax and make yourselves at home... you're family here!!!

I'll be seeing you!

JUST DROPPING IN TO SAY "HELLO"

Happy Monday, everyone!  I wanted to drop in and say hello to everyone.  We did get a storm very early this morning but, miraculously, I slept through it!!!  It was a typical storm though, nothing severe.  The worse is expected though; they are still predicting we'll have severe storms later today, tomorrow, and on Wednesday -- how depressing is this?!!!  I'm afraid to start anything because I feel as soon as I get started so will the weather take it's turn!

It's even having an affect on my poor little Buster.  He's usually running around happy and playing, begging to go out, and here he is with his favorite toy (yep!  a whole toy box full of toys and that's his favorite, the raggedy and torn up one with the "guts" hanging out!! ) and I can't get him to move!!!   Just look at my poor little guy:

I tried to take him in the yard but he wants the park!!!  He doesn't understand we can't go because this storm could come at any time and people were injured who were caught in last's week storm because it was unexpected.

I did hear those still without electrical power since last Friday will have power restored before the end of the day but, possibly, could lose it again with the next round of storms (of course, I'll more than likely be in that group again).  I love summer but I hate going through this EVERY year!  Actually we were very fortunate this time, last year like most of the others with last week's storm, we didn't have power for almost 4 days.  We had to eat out because we lost all the food in our refrigerator and freezer after it thawed -- no way could I cook all the food we had and eat it in a day!!!  And we had no hot water because all our utilities are electric start.  Poor hubby had to live with cold showers --LOL!  Heee-heeee!  This time we only had to endure it for just almost a day.  I just hope I'm not speaking too soon with more severe weather on the way!!!  LOL!

I have gotten a chance to get some craftng today but have used most of the day trying to catch up on some visiting and blog-hopping before the storms hit (whenever that is).  Chicago weather is just so unpredictable you can't rely on the weathermens predictions-- it just seems to do whatever in it's own time, so you just go on as usual the best you can until it comes and is over with.

Anyway, I should have a couple of projects to post for you by the time this is all over.  I'm trying to do something with all these organza flowers I made; they are compulsivewhen you start doing them!

I do hope you some of you are working on the theme project for Showcase #12.  I would be so disappointed if there weren't ANY projects by Friday.  I must admit, I was concerned if anyone would want to play with me having to do a home decor project as opposed to a card, layout, box, etc.  I don't see many, so I don't know how you feel about doing home decor.  I am hoping though someone will come on over to play with me and take on the challenge.

Oh well, I'm thinkin of you guys and hope all's well!  I'll be back in a few!!!

I'll be seeing you!

Hope the weather doesn't get too bad for you there. I am actually working on my project at this moment and should have it done later today.

Oh Audrey, I got the music sheets a few minutes ago. When I opened it, there on top was, "He's got the whole world in His hands". My dad used to have my sister and I sing that song. It brought back so many memories. I can't thank you enough for sharing with me. You are so sweet.
Poor little Buster. He looks so pitiful.
I would come and play with you but I am not sure what the challenge is. Is it something you would make for your house?
I pray the storms will pass you by. Safe inside and be safe my friend. Hugs

Well, I left a comment earlier today and it's not showing up. :-( I wanted to let you know I received the music sheets today and wanted to thank you soooooo much. When I pulled it out, the first one I saw was "He's got the whole world in His hands"... my dad used to have my sister and me sing that. Thank you so much Audrey. I pray God will watch over you during all the storms you are having and keep you safe. I thought about doing the challenge but I am not quite sure what a home decor would be... is it something you would make for your house????? hugs

Jean, thank you so much. I should have known I could depend on you!!!

Hi, Sandy! Yes, a home decor project could be anything you sit, place, or display around your home; ie, a picture frame, a door tag, a pretty display box, a wall hanger, etc.

Thanks, my friends!

Your dogie is so cute! My daughter's dog Moses was here with her this weekend and was also having a hard time with the thunder storms we had... the poor thing. He would bark and bark and cuddle next to Valerie, he was so cute. Be safe and have a good night!

Audrey,
I hope the weather clears up for ya. Here in Florida, not only is it grossly hot, but for the past few days we have gotten heavy down pours of rain along with thunder & lightning, I hate it.
My Buster is a lil bigger than yours (almost 80 lbs) and he is petrified of the storms. I think I feel more sorry for him than I do for myself. LOL
He barks back at the thunder, too funny.
