Well, for whatever reason, I've been unable to sleep tonight and believably I've caught up on all my housework (except my craft room which I really don't even want to tackle -- LOL!). So, I decided to do a project. I walked around the house looking to see if anything would come to mind, then I looked around my craft room and all the stuff all over the place --nothing definitely came to me!!! So I went into my sewing room, looked around and wondered what kind of paper project I could do related to sewing -- scissor holder case... NAH! A box for my threads...NAH!!! Too many spools of thread -- so what could I do?!!! Thinking about it more, I thought I'd seen something somewhere and an idea of it starting taking shape... I'd seen these little sewing kits in the fabric stores!!!
The project I'm sharing with you this early morning is a little sewing kit you can tuck in your purse, the glove compartment of your car, or your desk drawer at work -- wherever! It's small enough to go anywhere!!! It contains a needle, some pins, and a button. I don't have small ones available, but on the second layer I'd like to add a bit of thread with a small needle threader and maybe a small pair of those little fold up scissors and/or a small seam ripper. I have all these items but they're too large to fit into my little kit; so, you only get to see the first layer. There are 4 layers.
And here's my little sewing kit closed:
Now open:
It's really a simple little project that I think would make the nicest little gift!!! I used velcro for a closure and fleece for the inside layers. I really think it's "sew" cute; don't you?
I think I'm going to try to get some rest now even if I can't sleep! I don't want to be too tired when I get up again in the next couple of hours. So...,
I'll be seeing you!

Hi Audrey
It's fabulous - in fact I have a small kit I got years ago from a hotel - this would be perfect (no scissors),
I know what you mean about sleep - I was awoken at 5:40 this morning to thunderstorms and pouring rain! Nothing like 5 hours of sleep :^( so I am blog hopping of course!
This is adorable! I love it. I have this grungy old thing that someone gave me made from an old Christmas card, 3 or 4 years back. I think I would have to buy a new purse just to flaunt this it it! LOL all kidding aside it is perfect for any purse office desk drawer, the glove box in your car... and so on. I love it!
Oh yes, this is just too cute. I wish I had ideas that would pop into my head.

Kristina
