"TAKE NOTE" Notepad Set with Calendar

Good Sunday, my friends! I hope you're having a beautiful day!

I must say I had an interesting day yesterday.  I hate to admit it but I was more tired and frustrated than I wanted to own up to and I ended up suffering the consequences.  Today, however, is a brand new day and, although I'm off to a late start, I feel great.

The project Iwanted to post for you (finally!) is one that I made for the wall in my kitchen next to the telephone.  I love the colors and they really do blend in well in my kitchen, but I think I could have used a more subtle color paper for the words "Take Note".  I may have went overboard with the paper there.  Overall, I like how it came out and  I will use it to jot grocery items I may need, telephone numbers, notes, etc.  And, if I need to remember a certain event date, I added a little calendar for myself.  You can too!

How I constructed it:

The carts I used are George (pad/pen holders), Storybook (embellishment), and Plantin (words, "Take Note").  I used chipboard to cut the back and embellishment because they need to be sturdy.  I glued across the top of the notepad itself with a hot glue gun to hold the pages together on the notepad and calendar.  I used velcro on the calendar so it can be replaced yearly, and the notepad can be removed from under the flap so that it can be easily used and/or replaced.

Of course, I'll be hanging it; but, you can also attach a magnet and use on the fridge or let it stand -- your choice!

Here's a picture with the notepad removed:

I hope you like it!

I'll be seeing you!

YOU ASK, WHERE'S THE PROJECT I WAS TO POST TODAY?

I apologize guys, but I didn't finish my project today.  It's been a crazy day for me and along the way, I've made some embarrassing mistakes.  I got so caught up in so many things, trying to do so many things and trying to keep up with too many things that I lost track and couldn't; so, I really need to just regroup before I try to do anything else.  I will, however, post a project I've just about completed for you first thing in the morning (I won't try it now for fear of messing it up) -- it's something I really want to share with you.  I thought I'd start the day finishing it up and posting it, but then other things just got in the way and I thought I would get through them all.

I'm deeply sorry for anyone who came into contact with my, thank God, "temporary insanity" today, but it just lets me know I'm not superwoman and I need to pace myself  like everyone else.  Nothing wrong with being knocked on your behind every once in a while, huh?

Thanks for your patience and consideration, and...

I'll be seeing you!

I'M ON A ROLL AND I LOVE IT! I'VE BEEN FEATURED/ADVERTISED

Yes, I'm back posting again with more great news!  It appears several of my items have been featured/advertised on Craft Crave at http://www.craftcrave.com/.  I don't know how they found me, but I was surprised to see the comments about advertising six (6) of my projects.  I really appreciate that my projects were thought enough of to post there and excited that others outside our blogging community will get an opportunity to see them.  If you're interested in seeing what was selected to be advertised, there's a direct link to the Craft Crave on my side bar.  Thanks, Craft Cave!

I'll be seeing you!

SO MANY BLESSINGS!!! I'VE GOT A BEAUTIFUL BLOGGER AWARD!

Happy, happy Saturday!  Wishing you all a happy day!

I feel so very blessed -- everyday!  Today, I received this "Beautiful Blogger" award from Sparksgal over at My Crafty Place.  Thank you so much, Sparksgal.  Although I've been a blogger only since January 3, I have met so many wonderful people who have supported, encouraged, and kept me uplifted while attempting to get it all together that I count them as my "gifts".  Sparksgal is just one of those who has supported and encouraged me nearly from my beginning.  When you have a chance, please visit her blog; you can find her place on my side bar.

WOW! I'VE GOTTEN ANOTHER SUNSHINE AWARD...

Hello, friends.  Well we've finally gotten to the weekend -- my favorite time of the week!  LOL!

Before I go on, I'd like to say "Welcome" to a new follower!  Thanks so much.  I hope you're comfortable here and drop in often!

I am feeling extremely honored as to have been passed on the Sunshine Award yet again.  This time from my friend happilyscrappin1 over at http://wildlywhimiscalcraftingloft.blogspot.com/  If you've never visited her blog, I would recommend you do so, you won't be disappointed.  Thank you, happilyscrappin1, I am just overwhelmed!!!  And you're a sweetie!

Well, here I go talking on and on again, but I have to say I really do feel the love that's passed on, not just in receiving an award, but in your comments and loyal following which also brings me your support and encouragement.  I, in turn, appreciate you, admire your projects, and extend my encouragement and support!   You're all wonderful people I love to visit with and I'm proud to call you my friends/extended family (...and I do actually refer to you that way when I'm discussing my blog with nonbloggers -- I want you to know that, and yes I'm being sassy when I say it.  LOL).  Now, if I haven't already visited all of you, I am working on getting there, okay?

So, as rules go, I will pass this award on to six (6) others, but invite all my followers that would like to post it on their blogs to know that I am absolutely willing to share and "show some love", so just grab it for yourselves. My friends without blogs, consider mine as yours too (and create a blog so I can work around to visiting you too!!!).   As usual, the choices are not an  easy decision, but here goes...

1. Linda - http://ladybuglair.blogspot.com/
2. Jen - http://jensbrainthings.blogspot.com/
3. Brenda - http://brensdesigns.blogspot.com/
4. Wife2TJ - http://ascrapaddictsblog.blogspot.com/
5.Gail - http://stkittsscrapper.blogspot.com/
6. Brenda - http://brendasjoy.blogspot.com/

Okay, I'm sure you ladies all know the rules:

1. You must pass this award on to six (6) other bloggers/followers

2. Link your nominees within your post
3. Let your bloggers/followers know you are passing this award to them by leaving a comment on their blog
4. Add a link to the blog of the person from whom you received this award (of course, that would be me)

By the way, I am still working on that video -uuuuughhh!!!  And, I may a new project to share later today; that is, if I can get it finished, so...

I'll be seeing you!

SUNSHINE BLOG AWARD!!!

Hey-hey, all.  I am so happy several ladies broke the blog award rule!  For me, I don't have any followers I feel don't deserve this award, I admire you all, and chosing a few was extremely difficult for me.  To be honest, I haven't felt comfortable since.  So,as it's being done, I'm going to follow suit (wish I'd thought of it first anyway!).  Any of my followers who wishes, please feel free to grab the Sunshine Award for yourselves -- you all deserve to have one!  And, congratulations!

Now, please don't get me wrong, I'm not one for breaking rules but I think this is one of those rules that needs to be broken, and justifies the means.  There are way too many good crafters/scrappers/artisit out here that just get overlooked and passed over, how encouraging is that?

I'll be seeing you!

AND THE BLOG CANDY WINNER IS...

Happy Thursday, everyone!!!  I hope you have all had a restful night and are enjoying a wonderful day!  And, I see I have a new follower, thanks for joining me and welcome!  Sorry you didn't make it in time to vote!

I guess this is the moment we've been waiting for!!! But before I go on, please read the last paragraph of this post -- you won't want to miss it!  So, without further ado...

Random.org has selected number "3" which is assigned to...

CONGRATULATIONS!!!  Lee Ann of The Crafty Side of Me has won!!!

Lee Ann, please leave me either your snail mail or other address where I can mail your candy to. If you are uncomfortable leaving it in a comment, you can email me the address through the message board by searching for my name (Audrey Frelix). Congratulations again, and thanks for playing with me!

I would like to thank ALL of you for playing with me, and don't despair because I have several "little" gifts I'll be giving away randomly -- so just look out for them!  I'll be sneaking them in here and there, so pay close attention!!!  They will be "spur of the moment" items, so just check in occassionally!  (Hey!  It's not as if I haven't implied before that I'm a little stinker!!!)

I'll be seeing you!

A MOTHER'S DAY POP-UP CARD TO SHARE

Hi, all.  Before I retired for the evening, I did want to share a project with you.  It's a Mother's Day card I made.  I don't have anyone to give it to, so I plan on giving it to someone who may need it.

Unfortunately, I do not have a cut.file for this; however, I will have a video tutorial soon on how to do the pop-up.  I didn't realize how difficult making a video could be! My first video is probably going to be a real doozey!  I've had the camera for a while but never really used it.  I just got a new battery and I have attempted several drafts, but I'm having a problem with sufficient lighting, angles, and I'm having a problem with my sound.  (I hope I don't have to purchase another camcorder).  Hopefully, it won't be long.  In the meantime, here's the card...

This is a closed view:

(Click for larger view)
This is the open view:

You probably can't tell from this photo shot but the entire bird pops out; here you can only see the tail (click on the larger view, maybe you can see it better)

Over the last several days I've posted only blog updates, and I did want to share something with you, so I put this together -- quickly.  It may not be very nice, but I hope you like it enough to comment.

Have a pleasant evening, thanks for visiting me, and...

 I'll be seeing you!

ALL VOTES ARE TALLIED - POLL IS NOW CLOSED!

Good evening, all.  Hope your day went well.

Below is the list of followers that participated in this poll (I isolated the followers that did not vote, and included only those that did in this list).  This list reflects the vote-number you chose and your assigned "win" number.    (Please click on it to enlarge the list, if necessary).  At this time all vote-post comments have been published, and the poll is officially closed.  As you can see and compare, there were no duplicate votes and/or tie breakers; therefore, Random.Org will select the "win" number and I will post it before 3 p.m. as noted on an earlier post.

Unfortunately so many chose not to participate for what I'm sure is a good reason.  The upside, however, is that I did get many wonderful and kind comments that I do appreciate and wouldn't trade in for anything; and, 27 votes does scale and narrow down the participants -- making your chances even better!

SOOOOO, WHAT NUMBER DO YOU THINK WILL WIN?!!!

Thank you all for playing with me, GOOD LUCK!!!  And, of course, ...

I'll be seeing you!

BLOG CANDY UPDATE

Hello, friends.  I so hope you're all having a great day!

Well, today is the last official contest day!  All votes must be in by 8 p.m. (CT) this evening and, at that time, the vote poll will be closed and all voting posts will be published.  I will also include in the post a list of the voters with the numbers they've selected and the issued number assigned; that number, if selected, determines the winner of the blog candy.

As of now, it appears that the voters are limited to 26; of course, that increases your chances of winning.  As an aside, I mentioned in an earlier post there are two (2) tied numbers and the remaining vote numbers are random; therefore, unless one of the tied numbers is broken by another follower before 8 p.m., I will have the winning number selected by Random.Org

Thank you all for playing with me!  And, for those of you who don't win, stick around -- I have a few more "tricks and treats" up my sleeve!

Good luck, ladies!  And...,

I'll be seeing you!

HOLY MOLY!!! YIPPEE!!! I'VE GOT ANOTHER SUNSHINE AWARD!!!

Well all, hello, again!  I am sooo happy this evening.  I've again been passed on the Sunshine award!  This time from Cindy McVey of Crazy for Crafting, http://crazyforcrafting.blogspot.com/.   Cindy has been a  favorite of mine for some time - even before I became a blogger, so this is like an honor to receive this ward from her.  She is someone I'm sure most of us admire, as I'm sure most of us know her.

This is unusual for me but I'm just about speechless  (I said almost... LOL!), I just got my mouth to close and stopped grinning about 20 minutes ago -- LOL!!!

Cindy, thank you so much for thinking of me.  I think I'm going to just say thanks to you and all my blog followers, and leave it a that because I truly have tears forming in my eyes!

Of couse, I have to pass the award on the six (6) others, so here it goes:

1) Melissa S- http://playingwithpaper.blogspot.com/
2) Kristina - http://kreativekristina.blogspot.com/
3) Sandy - http://cricutgreenwithenvi.blogspot.com/
4. THKelly - http://binkyblossoms.blogspot.com/
5. Lissa - http://jacksmamacrafts.blogspot.com/
6. Sheryl - Sherylscraftingcorner.blogspot.com

Again, ladies when you pass this award on the rules are as follows (and as they say, "...show some love"):

1. You must pass this award on to six (6) other bloggers/followers
2. Link your nominees within your post
3. Let your bloggers/followers know you are passing this award to them by leaving a comment on their blog
4. Add a link to the blog of the person from whom you received this award (of course, that would be me)

You would think this would get easier but it definitely doesn't; I've made so many new friends here that the decision this time was just as difficult as before.  Again, I wish there were more but, like I said previously, hopefully there'll be a next time...

I'll be seeing you!

YES!!! 100 FOLLOWERS!!! THANK YOU!!!

Good day, my friends and family!!!  It's gonna be a good-good day!  I sure hope it will be for you too! Thanks to some very thoughtful and kind ladies from the mb, I have now attained my goal of 100 followers!!!  What a great feeling!!!

To all my followers, old and new, thank you so much for encouraging and supporting me my first couple of months.  When I started this blog, I thought it would take me at least a year or more to get where I am right now with the number followers and the hits to my blog.   I never dreamed I would have made it this far (and for me this is an accomplishment) in such a short amount to time.  I have to give all the thanks to the "Man" upstairs and you because that's how I got here.  Thank you!

PLEASE READ CAREFULLY

Now, of course this means someone is going to win blog candy!  Therefore, the last day for all followers to vote, who haven't already done so, is going to be Wednesday, February 24, 8 p.m. central time.  (YOU MUST VOTE TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE RAK.)  At that time, the voting poll will be closed and all votes tallied.   I will announce the winner on Thursday, February 25, before 3 p.m. central time.  All votes will be posted and visible after the voting poll has closed on Wednesday.  All voting contestants/participants will be included.

Again, in the event the voting does not produce a winner, the winner will be pulled randomly by my dear ole hubby (although I really didn't want it to be done this way).

Again, thank you.  You just don't know how all your kindesses have been the incentive for most of my projects!

Congratulations to the winner!  And good luck to you all!

I'll be seeing you!

Another Blog Update!

Well, I hope you all enjoyed a wonderful Sunday and a great weekend!!!  As things wind down, so am I.  I'm still getting over my friend Flowerdisco passing on an award to me -- ME!!!  Wow!

But I'm here now because I wanted to just say hello and to update you on the votes and the progress we're making.  As you can see, I now have 97 followers -- WELCOME!!!  So, I'm gaining momentum here -- YIPPEE!  This makes me so very happy.  Unfortunately, the voting process is not moving at a pace I'd hoped.  Here is where we are so far:

24 - actual votes with 2 sets of numbers duplicated (which, as of now, is equivalent to 2 ties and only one person can win),

8 - comments with no votes (followers must cast votes to be eligible for the blog candy), and

12 - new followers with no comments and/or votes (although I thank you, appreciate and accept you however you choose to follow)

In total, this is about half my followers already.  So with only 24 votes and only 3 followers left to go, I'm hoping not to have to do a random vote although it appears to be headed that way.  Or, maybe I can think of something else before I reach my happy 100!!!  Let me think about it!!!  But ALL my dear followers out here in blog land please vote!!!  You'll be picking the winner yourselves!!!  Again, all your votes will be published before the winner is selected and/or announced.  I'll get back to you and...,

I'll be seeing you!

I'VE GOT A BLOG AWARD!!!

Happy Sunday, all!  Hope you're all getting prepared to spend a happy day!

Remember on my last post I mentioned I would be sharing some news?!!!  Well, now you know!  I've been passed on the Sunshine Blog Award by my friend Flowerdisco of Flowerdisco's Scrap Hut.  What a wonderful surprise it was to find out this news when I dropped by her place for a visit.  When you have a chance, if you haven't already, you must go see some of the amazing cards she does.  You can find a link to her blog on my side bar.
.
Thanks, Flowerdisco, you really-really made my day!!!

I lOVE, LOVE, LOVE IT!

Now comes the difficult part, I have to pass this on the 6 followers, and the decision was very hard for me to make because I admire so many of you so much.  I soothed my feelings by telling myself that eventually I hope to be able to pass along an award to each of you (considering I ever get that many -- DUH!)  Anyway, after many stressful hours, I finally decided on these six (6) followers.  And thank you guys so much for your friendship, encouragements and support:

BLOG AWARD RULES:
1.  You must pass this award on to six (6) other bloggers/followers
2.  Link your nominees within your post
3.  Let your bloggers/followers know you are passing this award to them by leaving a comment on their blog
4.  Add a link to the blog of the person from whom you received this award (of course, that would be me)

This selection was really hard for me to narrow down and I apologize to those of you I wish I could have also passed an award to but, hopefully, there will be a next time...

I'll be seeing you!

ANOTHER "TWO-FOR-ONE" - Candy Box and Card Gift

Heelllo, my friends out here in the blogging world! First I have to say WELCOME to my new following friends.  Thank you for coming, I just love company!!!

After an exhausting week, I've just been given the biggest and happiest shock I've had in a long time, and I'll share it with you as soon as I find out more; so, sorry you'll have to stay in the dark for a minute.  BUT, I promise you'll know as soon as I can get more detailed information!!!  Okay, then...

I have a project.  I so enjoyed making that little computer box with 2 compartments that I decided I wanted to do another "two-for" (you know, the one I'm saving the cut.file for until I get 10,000 hits on my blog).  Anyway, this one is a card candy box.  To describe it, the flap folds down under the embellishment on the front of the bo to secure it, but when you lift the flat it opens into a card and tucked insde the card is candy because...  it's also a box!!!  How cool is that?

Here we go... !  Flap foldered down and flap up:

Open and it's a card and a box of candy!!!  YES, it's two, two, two treats in one!!!

It's cut with George and Storybook carts.  I hope if you cut it, you'll let me see what you've done with this.

Oh, quick update on the blog candy -- WE'RE ALMOST THERE!!! YIPPEE!!!  I'll publish all the votes once I reach100 followers!  And, thank you guys for all your support!

I'll be seeing you!

BLOG CANDY UPDATE!

Hello, guys!  I hope the last few days have been comfortable for everyone.

Since I decided to not publish the vote posts for a while, I thought I'd be fair and, at least, give you an update.  As of today, with 93 followers, this is where we stand in the voting process:

1.  there are 23 votes tallied with only one (1) number currently duplicated,
2.  three (3) followers who commented but did not cast a vote, and
3.  five (5) new followers who did not vote.

This is a total of 8 lost votes.  Even if you do not wish the blog candy, we could still use your votes, so PLEASE...!  With only 7 more followers to go, I am hoping more followers will get their votes in.

For the new followers, "Welcome"!  I am so glad you decided to be a part of my place and hope to see you often.  However, if you are unaware that you are now eligible to participate in the voting process for blog candy, please feel free to do so by leaving a comment.  You will find the instructions under the blog candy announcement.

The more votes, the better chance -- at this point -- of not having to do a random drawing.  I have contacted and invited as many followers as I could, so let's keep our fingers crossed that everyone gets their votes in!  Fortunately, we still have a bit more time!!!

For all followers, if you unaware, please understand you must cast a vote in order to be eligible for the blog candy.

Thanks all for your cooperation and participation!

In the meantime...,

I'll be seeing you!

A Bathside Candle

Hello, friends.  I hope you all had a wonderful and special Valentine Day.  My family and I had a great time eventhough at the end of the day I was exhausted.  Pretty glad it's over, entertaining sure can take a lot out of you!

WOWweeeee!  Look at the followers!!!  Welcome all you newcomers, very glad to see you!  I hope you get comfortable and stay awhile because I just LOVE company!  And, of course, that means we're just 10 away from blog candy!!!  So I hope everyone who already hasn't gets to voting!!!

I do have a little project I worked on on Friday evening to share.   I love relaxing and winding down in the tub by candlelight when I get a chance, but I'm always so aware of a fire when they're lit.  Anyway, I had these battery candles (hubby and I both LOOOVE candles) I purchased from QVC and was tinkering around with how to decorate them for my bathroom and I kind of liked the way this came out... think we can use them all over the house...

Each picture was taken under a different lighting.  I love the glow of the first one where the room was darker.  If you like it, I did a cut file for it.  Of course, I used transparency for the holder and just plain cardstok for the base.  I used a candle at the top and under the base, but remember...  battery operated candles only!!!  Decorate it any way you'd like!!!

I'll be seeing you!

HAPPY VALENTINE DAY, EVERYONE!!!

Wanted to drop in to say Happy Valentine Day!  I'll be pretty busy today with hubby and family but I wanted to make certain I didn't miss my extended family (YOU, of course!).  I hope you have a happy, happy valentine Sunday!

I also want to mention, some of you have left comments about the blog candy but did not enter a number.  In the event you overlooked it, to vote you need to select a number from 1 - 100.

Enjoy your day, and...

I'll be seeing you!

Happy Friday all!  Are we all set for the weekend?  I certainly hope so.  I have a card with a matching box to share with you today.  I actually made this card for all of you and the members on the mb -- a "Thank You" for always being so kind and warm to me.  You may need to click to see it enlarged to get all the detail.  I hope you like it!

Here is a view of the inside of the card:

GET READY TO VOTE FOR BLOG CANDY!!!

Hello to all my friends out there!!!  YOOOU-WHOOOOO!  I hope all is well and that everyone who's been bombarded with snow in their part of the world is tucked away somewhere cozy, and not having to deal with it.  We're just starting to get ours now, but they've estimated it should only be 10-12 inches -- which is a blessing compared to what some of you got (20" to 27" - wow!).

And, again, welcome to my new followers!  I hope your visits are always enjoyable.  Because ALL of you have made it possible to help me as I grow my blog into a big girl, I will giving out blog candy when I reach 100 followers.  It's been such a pleasure sharing my crafts with you and watching the numbers grow!

In an earlier post, I promised when I reached 100 followers I'd have blog candy again and it's sooooo close now to that 100 that I think it's time to roll -- don't you?!.  I also mentioned that you'd be doing the voting, so the way this will go is that as of right now, I'm beginning a list of all my followers and I'll continue to do so until I reach 100.  I'll then take that list and jumble the names so they won't be in the same order as noted on my blog and change the names to numbers from 1 - 100; and here's where you come in, you'll pick a number and leave the number you selected under the blog candy posting/picture.The number with the most votes wins the blog candy!  In the event the numbers are consistent, 1 - 100, with no duplications, the draw will be random.  Now you don't know what your number will be so... get on your mark; get ready; set to vote!

RULES:  1) Must be a follower,  2) must have name and/or blogspot listed to your comment vote as you are noted/identified on the list of followers, 3) only one vote per follower, please).

Once I've reached 100 followers I will announce the deadline date for the last vote entry, and the winner will be announced the following day after all votes are counted.  So, let all your blogging friends and everybody else know, and let's get this thing going!!!

Here's the candy:
Mother's Day 2010 Cartridge, Paper, Ribbons, Stickles, Nestibilities, an Impressionability, Stamps, Stickers -- OH MY!

GOOD LUCK!!!

Laptop Candy Box -- It's Two, Yes Two Boxes In One!

Well, as this "Superbowl" Sunday weekend winds down, I hope you all enjoyed your weekend!  (If you're a fan, I hope your favorite team won.)  Buster and I aren't into football, so we pretty much hung out most of the day just having fun while the hubby was out with his "Superbowl" buddies enjoying the game.  The rest of this evening, I worked on a cut.file I'd had in my mind for a while and decided to finally sit down to do it.  I am really pleased with how it came out.  I'm posting a picture, but it doesn't look very pretty because I pretty much just threw it together to test the cut.file and to get an idea of what it would look like.  It's only one box but there are 2 separate compartments for candy.  I think the next time I cut it and really get into decorating it, it's going to be just the cutest thing!

Geez, I get so excited about this stuff that I don't even give the glue a chance to dry!  Pretend you don't see it, okay?

Sorry about the candy in this next picture but it's all I had left  from my Valentine gifts, anyway these are the candy compartments of the box:

I tried to dress the box up hurriedly with some silver stickles so it didn't look so plain, but that came out horrible!!!  DON'T LOOK!  Phew, I'm glad this is a side view!

About the box:  I used vellum in the window, cut it using the George cart, ,and found some keyboard pictures in a computer magazine -- cut them out, pasted them on and "there ya go".  The 2 candy compartments are a result of how the box is folded.

Where's the cut.file?  Well..., I'm going to hold on to the cut.file until I get 10,000 hits/guests and then let everyone have it as a "thank you" gift.  So, tell everyone you know because the faster I get the hits, the sooner you get the cut.file!  I'm already halfway there, and I'd love to see what you do with this!

I'll be seeing you!

BELIEVE IT OR NOT!!!

Good evening, friends! I hope you are all enjoying your weekend! If you're where all the snow is falling this weekend, I hope you're tucked away some where nice and cuddly -- maybe working on your crafts!

I have an altered tile to share, and the floral is made with... PACKING FOAM!!! I get so much of this stuff from different orders that I decided to save some of it to see if I could incorporate it into some of my crafting, and here's what I came up with:

It kind of reminds of that Petal Soft or Flower Soft stuff, doesn't it?  Would you like this simple procedure to be one of my video instructions?  Let me know.

Until...  I'll be seeing you!

Primula Tea Gift Set

Happy Wednesday, all!!!  I hope you're all having a wonderful day, and that the weather and all else is just fine where ever you are.  Fortuately, today in Illinois the weather is just beautiful; I know it isn't going to last, but for today, it's great and I've very much enjoyed it!

Have you ever heard of Primula Tea?

If not,  it's a green tea bulb that blooms into a lovely flower as it brews (and it tastes good too!).  Anyway, I have a relative who just loves tea and I decided this would be the perfect gift for her on her birthday.

The 3-d cup on the top of the gift box is the creation of  "Nickiscardstockcreations" and I found it on her blog (thank you, Nicki).  The paper cup is actually holding 4 packs of tea bulbs.

I drew and cut the out  the gift box (on my cricut using the George cart) to hold the glass cup.  I etched the cup with my relative's name, and to bring out the name, I rubbed over the etching with silver "Rub n' Buff".

Now isn't this a great gift for a tea drinker?

A FEW THINGS TO NOTE

Hellooooo, friends and family!  I hope you all had a happy Tuesday!  I've been so busy today with things I didn't want to do but which had to be done -- voting, cleaning, washing, cooking, blah-blah-blah.  However, I wanted to sneak in here for a few minutes because there are  several things I wanted to mention:

1.  Welcome to all my new followers and friends!  It's so good to have you here, and thank you so much for your interest in my crafts.  I hope you visit often!

2.  I've noticed how close I am to 100 followers!!!  Do you know what that means?  YES!!! Blog Candy!    Isn't that just toooo exciting?!  When I reach 100 followers I'm going to have another stash of goodies and I think the twist this time will be that all of you will be the judges!  How?  Well, I'll tell you later!   We'll see how that goes anyway.

3.  I have had a problem getting out emails to some of you who have requested cut.files with mail addressess ending in "rr.com".  They are being returned with a message that the "mail quota is full".  If you have not received your cut.files this may be the case.  Please provide me another email addresss, if possible; or if it's a matter of something you can clear up yourselves, please let me know when you have and I'll resend the files (please mention which cut.file(s) you requested so that I won't have to search through every post-comment to find your request).

4.  If someone with a more "normal" email address has not received any requested files, please let me know.  I have attempted to respond to each and every request I've been aware of  -- I share with everyone.

5.  For those of you who I promised to send written instructions, I have not forgotten you.  I am still in the process of trying to put them together for you in a manner most easy for you to understand.  So please just bear with me a bit longer.

6.  I finally have the cut.file available for you to request for the Pop-up Cube and Wallet, and have added it to my sidebar to be requested.  A separate instruction sheet will be sent along with the file detailing the size/length of the rubber band and how it should be nserted.

7.  I'm also working on getting some material together for some videos; this may be several more weeks or so in the processing; but, hopefully, I'll have some informative, interesting, and fun projects for you.

Well, thank goodness, that's it!  You probably won't see this post this early in the morning ("...at the tone the time will be 12:22 am - CT),  but that's okay because I'll be back to greet you later today with something else to share!  So, in the meantime...

Hope you're having or have had a great evening!!!  I'll be seeing you!

"WHAT'S IN YOUR WALLET?"

Well, friends!  I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  As usual, they're a little too short for me, and I don't even work!  LOL!

THE POP-UP CUBE WALLET

I don't know if it's nation-wide, but here in Chicago there's an insurance company that has a television ad that asks "What's in your wallet?"  And, because my inspiration can come from just about anything, little wheels started turning in my head when I kept hearing that commercial.  So, this little pop-up wallet project was inspired  from my watching -- of all things! -- a television commercial.  This is the wallet closed... (added my initials for a designer look)!

And this is the wallet open...

I've added two (2) little pockets to hold money, credit cards, or whatever will fit.  I'm using my pop-up cube to hold some of my favorite photos that I'd like to show off.

Can you believe I actually paid almost $50 for the pop-up template?  Now I'm feeling ripped off!  When I looked at the template, I thought that it really didn't look worth what I paid and betted myself I could do a cut.file.  So, that's what I'm working on!  I should have a cut.file completed in a couple of days -- okay?

I'll be seeing you!
