I've did these before as birthday cards, and I do them all by hand -- the cricut is not used at all. Although they're vey simple and fast to put together, a cut.file would would be confusing because of the folds, which would need to be explained. So, if I ever get this video stuff down, it'll be another video project. Now I haven't forgotten about that either! It's just that I got so frustrated when I was working on it, I decided to step back from it until I could go back to it more rationally (yea! I really got ticked with the whole process!) Luckily for you (and me) I just don't give up easily -- when I'm determined, I go back and really dig my heels in! Actually, I become obsessed! Anyway, I'm keeping a list of everything I've told you I would do a video of, so I won't forget anything.
Enough of that. Every other page has an inspiration quote and I left space for some little photos to be attached (if the person so desires). Here are several different views of it beginning with it being closed and then open:
I sure hope you like it! And, if you know and/or have suggestions for a name -- I'm open!!!
I'll be seeing you!

A card book sounds awesome!! This is very cute!!
Audrey that is just beautiful...wish I had a name for you... :-(
Beautiful card, and love the color of that paper.
It's beautiful. You could also add pockets with tags for extra messages. Sorry I don't have a name suggestion at the moment.
I thought I saw this on a UK web site - they called it a star card
Sheryl, it does kind of look like the star card but it isn't. The star card does not have the attached bottom and forms a star, and it is more like a book with pages. This is more a book/card that has a built-on bottom (?) I will do a star card at some time so that you can the difference, but this is easier. But, thanks for the info.
OhhhSnap! I love that suggestion with the pockets for tags. I hadn't thought about that. Thank you!!! Next time I do this, I'm going to take you up on that idea! That's why I love you guys! You give me inspiration and I try to give it back to you!
Hi Audrey - I have not made one of these - like you - not sure who I would give it too.... also you asked if I picked up my award - yes I did! I believe I commented on the original post. Here it is on my blog and who I passed it along too - thanks so much!
Thanks, Sheryl. I don't think everyone knows yet that they have an award here waiting for them, and I'm not sure I left all the messages! I sure hope I did, but I thought I'd check. I was definitely trying to reach everyone! LOL!
Have a great evening, and I'll be seeing you!
Whatever they call this it is awesome... show us how to make this if you don't mind. It is lovely.
OH Audrey, it is gorgeous. how about a book-let! a Mini book? Know I see where I thought you had not posted since Jan- because I did not scroll down and on my computer just saw that top Jan post!! Now I know you are there and will scroll!!!
This is just beautiful!!! I know some friends that I would love to send it to as a pick me up. I would love to know how you made it. I am not sure what to call it either, other than beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
I love your book/card it is just beautiful. I sure hope you learn the video thing as I would love to know how to do this. I for one would love something like that so I am sure it will be a big hit when you do give it out.

i love the paper and ribbon colour, so soft and rich looking complimented by the elegant, floral embellishments!
name???? not very inventive but descriptive, how about modified star card? doesn't have a ring to it, better keep on thinking!
paperscissors!!! Come on now... are you serious? The "modified star card"? That does not sound cute or catchy when referring to it! Yes, do you like my modified star card? Uh-uh, nope; it sure doesn't have a ring to it, but it's pretty funny. You did give me a really good laugh this very early morning! And, I appreciate you offering a suggestion... of sorts! Thank you, my friend for the laugh!
That's really just too funny!
Paperscissors... I just had to pop back in and say I think I'll be laughing all night! That's hysterical!!! Thank GOD, I love to laugh!!!
That is soooooo elegant. I would be touched to no belief if someone gave me a beautiful gift like that.
You are one verrrrry thoughtful gal!
I didn't read what others said (I'm lazy!) :-) but I wouldn't call it anything other than: "just because". :-)
OOOh Audrey this is beautiful! Hope you figure out the video soon. Would love to make one! xxD
